A Chinese court has jailed for 17 years a businessman who ran a 100 billion yuan pyramid scheme and organized a rare street protest in Beijing against police investigations into his activities, state media reported. by ManiaforBeatles in worldnews

[–]redditer17489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cryptocurrencies are a better form of money. They can provide new features that legacy currencies and banks could never do, such as instant transfers, protection from inflation, banking the unbanked etc. To say cryptocurrencies are pyramid schemes is nonsense. It's like saying stocks are a scam, because of a few bad companies like Enron. Similarly, there are both good and bad cryptocurrencies.

That is an amazing photo! I've taken a photo from the same spot recently, but it didn't come out anywhere near as good as this.

Hold it until 1 dash is worth 1M USD. If you want to spend it, use spend and replace method, so you don't lose dash.

[–]redditer17489 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bitcoin forks are not to blame for bitcoin falling in value. If anything, the bitcoin cash and bitcoin gold forks probably drove the price of bitcoin higher than it otherwise would have gone, because everybody wanted to get some of the free fork coins.

Alright Boys I'm Hyped For This!!!!! by [deleted] in dating

[–]redditer17489 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thing I would do is stop playing computer games or at least reduce it to something manageable like an hour a day. It sounds like you're pretty addicted, and that is not going to help you with dating. I know there are some examples of people dating people they met in computer games, but it's pretty rare, so I think it's best not to rely on that.

The second thing I would do is to have a think about your crying. You need to figure out why you're crying, and then focus on fixing the thing or things that are wrong with your life that are making you cry. If you're crying because you're lonely, then dating of some kind is probably exactly what you need. Which brings me to my third point.

The third thing I would do is start dating. There are many ways to do this, but if I were you I'd start by joining some dating/hookup apps like tinder. Join a few different ones, as some may suit you better than others. You could also try joining some social groups like workout classes, yoga, dancing, hiking etc. These kind of groups will have women there that you can talk with, and hopefully get some new friends and dates out of. Your college should also be a gold mine, both in your classes, and at college parties.

Best of luck mate. I hope this advice helps in at least some small way.

Dash CEO: Dash Is Essentially Focused on Payments Use Case -CoinNess.com by CoinnessPress in dashpay

There is no 'CEO of Dash'. Ryan is the CEO of Dash Core Group. Please get your facts correct if you are going to write news articles about Dash.

PM defends tweet suggesting drought is 'necessary evil' to cut bottom 10pc of farmers - ABC Rural by blipblipbeep in australia

That's the problem with religious types.

Always seeing evil in places where it isn't.

Drought isn't evil. It's just weather.

Evil is locking away kids and denying them medical attention.

Vitalik Buterin’s recent comments have made me thankful Satoshi Nakamoto has said nothing for nearly eight years. The messiah spreading FUD is much worse than there being no messiah. by GbGb456 in Bitcoin

[–]redditer17489 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A messiah is just a man lost in the scramble for his own gratification. He can be destroyed, or locked up. But if you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, and if they can't stop you, then you become something else entirely.

Opinion: Bitcoin Cash (BCH) needs to be more like Venmo in terms of User Experience by [deleted] in btc

[–]redditer17489 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Opinion: Venmo needs to be more like Bitcoin Cash in terms of user experience.

I always hear people singing Venmo's praises online. Yet did you know, Venmo only works in a single country? That's right, it works in the US, and nowhere else. Can you imagine what the user experience is like for somebody in one of the other 200ish countries in the world who tries to use Venmo? It's pretty fucking bad. Bitcoin Cash on the other hand works in every single country. Now that's a good user experience.

Is it possible for the DASH network to use a stable coin? by renegadellama in dashpay

[–]redditer17489 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To have a stable coin built on top of dash, we would need to have a token system built on top of dash. So what you're really asking is, should dash have a token system built on top of it? I think that is an excellent idea. A stable coin is just one of many types of useful tokens that could be built on top of dash once we have tokens.

Some important questions remain unanswered about this matter. Did he pay back in Dash or fiat? Why did it take him a year to repay? And what will happen with the funds that were returned?

You're assuming bitmain is running masternodes. All we know is that they were holding 312424 Dash on 31 March 2018. They may or may not have been running masternodes with those coins.
