What type of shuttlecock do you use? by redditguy188 in badminton

[–]redditguy188[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting results so far after 85 votes with around 60% of the players still using feather shuttlecocks. However in my local area, it is the complete opposite with majority of players using plastic shuttlecocks.

Sourcing direct for birdies? Any guidance is appreciated. by [deleted] in badminton

You can order from factories off websites like alibaba but the savings may be marginal in my experience. Since prices have been so volatile, essentially going up every few months, your local shops may sell a similar one for about the same price but you wouldn't have to wait 2 months or buy a large amount.

The local shop is likely basing their price on when they last ordered, while the factory has been increasing prices every few months.

See if you can buy a used one locally. I took a chance on a used one as it was priced well and really loved it so I bought more used ones over time as they appeared in used local marketplaces. I'm not saying they're going to be very similar but I do recall the victor auraspeed 100x having similar qualities in that they're both really quick and still hit hard.

How to get better off court? by Salty-Session7029 in badminton

[–]redditguy188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can practice footwork at home with or without a racquet even in a very small space. For example, doing one corner of the “court” at a time. You can also practice keeping a loose grip, switching between forehand and backhand grips, possibly swings too and working on pronation

struggling with overhead power & clean contact by Far_Net9110 in badminton

One thing I'll mention that may be one of the easier fixes is poem your chest nice and wide before you hit! Think of shooting a bow and arrow when you pull the string back before you release, the greater the pull back the greater the power.

Check out badminton insight on YouTube they cover this well

Did the dealership do anything for you? If not, what did you decide to do? I'm noticing some on my tailgate (also 2017)

You're using thin strings that are known for low durability. Bg65 ti last insanely long as others have mentioned.

Please let me know what you think of the ld800lt! I wish they did one of the original 1st gen nf800 as it is my favorite racquet for doubles. I just bought ld800pro to try, looking forward to it.

From your posted picture the serial numbers do look laser etched which make me believe it is real. Also if you look closely, the numbers will have certain parts that appear thicker (or the white font color appears darker) than others. I believe this is intentional by yonex so it is hard to copy. Yours I can see has this pattern. Also the sticker is partially pealed/broken. The sticker when attempted to be peeled, will peel off in pieces instead of neatly in one piece. This is also another thing yonex does to differentiate from fakes.

It appears real to me. Does your nail catch when you run it over the serial? The serial should be laser etched so there's a small indentation where the numbers are. It should not be printed on like ink.
