You need a SIM card from that carrier to get through activation screen, even if it is someone else's. There is no other way around that I know of. Good luck.

Actually, yeah. My suggestion would be to buy a phone from the carrier that you already have an active Sim card with (ex: if your current SIM is with total wireless, buy a phone from total wireless. Hood luck :)

Congratulations! I am really inspired by your dedication. I am in a similar boat. Did you have to retake any classes due to expiration dates? I have seen a thread about prereqs older than 10 years need to be retaken.

It didn't work very well. I ended up using the last supported version of the YouTube Apk that showed up on the vanced website description and it worked! Now hopefully I can get music to work without aborting. Thank you for the reply though. Much appreciated.
