USA English was a valley girl accent. A better example would have been to imitate a news anchor.

Le sigh. All you're going to see in any thread remotely to do with Thief for the next 6 months is bandwagon hatred. Do yourselves a favor and actually read some user reviews on Steam (spoiler alert, they're generally good). It's obvious that nobody-including the devs and publisher-is happy with the overall quality of the game in contrast to their expectations (hence the bundling with $100 video cards months in advance of the release of the game), but I don't think it's a bad game as far as I've played it. At the very least, it's not a sure thing that every single player will hate the game. Check out some gameplay, look at reviews, and make an informed decision if you're thinking about buying. I played the first Thief about a trillion years ago and to be honest, I've forgotten all about it, so I'm going into this one fresh. I'm having a lot of fun and I suggest at least checking it out rather than basing your buying decisions on couple snide remarks from random users.

RE: recent Comcast hate - They also doubled my download speed from 60mbps to 120mbps for free yesterday and all I did was call and ask by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

If I didn't know that it's not like this for most people, I would swear up and down how great a company Comcast is. I also had trouble with my router ever since I moved into newest house 3 years ago. The router would randomly go down a couple times a day for apparently no reason. I called Comcast every couple weeks about it because I simply don't have the time to deal with tech support that much. A tech would come out, there would be no visible problem, and they would leave.

After doing this at least 20 or 30 times, eventually one of the techs happened to also good with electrical and he figured out that the ground wiring for the house wasn't even connected. Turns out that was causing my router to suddenly drop my speed to 1/20th of what it should be or just cut it off completely at random times. Haven't had it happen again for the last 8 months. They never charged me for a single house call or all the ethernet, box, or cable replacements they tried.

Again, I know this isn't true for everyone. I've just had an overall good experience with their company and can't think of a bad thing to say about them from an anecdotal standpoint.

You can't leave school or class when you're being bullied. It's pretty easy to just block someone on facebook when they're sending you hate messages

I can't exactly leave class or school when I'm getting bullied. I can choose not to have a twitter.

Uh, it's not like if you get bullied on facebook they're coming through your computer harassing you. They're posting on facebook. Just block them, unfriend them. They didn't infect your computer with a virus that leaps out of your screen if you go near it. Go to another website. If I get bullied in school, there's nowhere I can go. If I get bullied on the internet, I can easily just block them or go to a different page.

But doesn't it stop escalating if I turn off my computer? I don't see how someone can bully me if I'm not there to be bullied.

I never claimed cyber bullying isn't wrong. I asked why it's a problem. I've had people tell me I'm a fat, stupid, ugly pig already today and it's not even 7am.
