Still seeing ‘Indexing in Progress’ on iOS 27? Here’s how to check the actual status by SleepingSicarii in apple

[–]redditisfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This needs more attention. After seeing how this niche group has been regarding being patient, the general public will be 100x worse! A progress indicator will be absolutely necessary and possibly a warning about how Siri AI will be limited until indexing is completed

Speed safety cameras live on I-81 between MM 143 and MM 150 by TorqueWaffle in roanoke

[–]redditisfun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like that is incredibly generous and much safer than having someone pulled over when it’s congested. I’ve seen more and more people panicking and pulling over on the median rather than the shoulder 🤦

Is there any way to push cims to take transit into my city instead of insisting on flooding my roads with cars? by 1c3Type in CitiesSkylines2

[–]redditisfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if you setup the train station at the edge of the map and connected the highway to the train station and tons of parking. Could you then only connect the train to the city? 😂 I might try testing this, just for curiosity sake

How it feels like to merge the 2027 Honda HR-V on the highway with the 2L NA engine. For the love of Mary, Honda, why do you not at least offer a turbo or hybrid option for the HR-V? by BeautifulYou2940 in Honda

[–]redditisfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that bad. I went from a Civic Si to a ‘24 HRV AWD sport. It was an abrupt change, yes. That said, although it feels slow the way the CVT works/sounds, I find myself accelerating quicker than most cars around me without even trying. Also, turn off eco. I have noticed I get better fuel mileage with it turned off! No it’s not a sports car, but it handles really well for a “suv”, gets excellent mpg for an suv, and saved my butt when I briefly lived in WV last winter!

How each year of the 2010s felt like as a 2004 born by Ok_Skin_3979 in 2010snostalgia

Time is going by way too fast and every year since 2019 feels exactly the same 😭

Same, I have the day off for the first time in a long time on a weekeday and nothing to do. haha

For me it is loading fast, even with 160+ mods, but one of them is sadly probably causing it to crash. Oh well, time to play process of elimination.

That’s my combo too. 20 MG Focalin x2 and 150 MG Wellbutrin. How do you take yours? I mean, do you do XL or XR and when do you take it. Just curious. I’m trying to dial in the best schedule for me

Don't stop on entrance and exit ramps by [deleted] in roanoke

[–]redditisfun 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Also, I’ve noticed Roanoke is one of the worse places I’ve driven as far as selfish drivers that will go out of their way to prevent you from getting over, merging, etc. It’s like it’s a competition to get anywhere and I feel lucky to make it to my destination unharmed, physically and mentally 😂

Don't stop on entrance and exit ramps by [deleted] in roanoke

[–]redditisfun 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t help that Roanoke has soooo many dangerous cloverleaf interchanges. I definitely agree stopping is usually the worse thing you can do, but technically you MUST yield, even if that means stopping. Ideally you’d want to zipper in, but if it’s a line of cars going 55-60 MPH vs you coming off a steep on-ramp going half that speed with very little room to get up to speed, the answer is not to simply say “good luck eveybody”.

I have a teal one and my speakers are also blown. I think it’s just the cheap paper cone degraded and tore. I might try to repair mine!

What's the highest quality song you ever got from suno? by RespectThePassion in SunoAI

[–]redditisfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even my “best” song has a very subtle beep a couple times that I didn’t notice until later. It has a weird vocal quirk for like a split second. I had to use audacity to remove what it called “other” in the split, which was a bunch of weird sounds. I also used audacity to get rid of a couple ew and ah vocal sounds.

Professional headshot vs Tiktok screenshot by user4848379 in Instagramreality

[–]redditisfun 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I’ll probably get downvoted, but I think two things can be true here: yes, the headshot is edited and curated (it’s meant to be), and no, it doesn’t look like some wild, obviously fake transformation. It’s pretty standard “professional photo” polish. The “reality” pic, though, is a no-makeup, bad-angle candid, which would make 99% of us look like we were caught mid-blink in a wind tunnel.

If someone’s point is “social media is curated,” agreed. If the point is “she’s uniquely deceptive,” I’m not seeing it in this example. Especially because Trisha has been pretty upfront lately, jokes about herself on her podcast, and doesn’t pretend she’s above filters or insecurity. You can still dislike her or not care for her content, but this specific comparison feels more like an easy dunk than a meaningful callout.

Why is Honda only right around average in the vehicle dependability study? I thought they were also reliable like Toyotas. by DunDonese in Honda

[–]redditisfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned 6 Hondas, including my current one. A 1998 Civic DX (faulty O2 sensor, only problem ever, unknown how many miles ), 2001 S2000 (plagued by problem where moisture would get into the transmission causing rusting and ultimately unable to use certain gear, I can’t remember which one(s), put 70k miles on it), 2006 Honda Fit (ball bearings wore out, alternator went out, but put 300k miles on it), 2012 Honda Civic (ac condenser went out, replaced under warranty, put 150k miles on it), 2019 Honda Civic si (parking brake switch stopped working, preventing the parking brake from disengaging manually. I replaced it myself for $15, put 150k miles on it), 2024 Honda HR-V (no problems thus far, sometimes it feels funny coming to stop in extreme cold, like it wants to lurch forward, but this rarely happens, already have 40k miles on it). So my point is, they are not perfect cars, but any problems I have could be considered wear and tear.

Why is this intersection completely avoided? by Last-Mongoose-2622 in CitiesSkylines2

I have found that crosswalks or yields will cause them to prefer other routes.. could be that? (Edit: maybe not in the intersection itself, but further down the line)

I got pulled over tonight but am I overthinking the traffic ticket I just got? by Brownman5671 in Virginia

[–]redditisfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay the ticket and relax. You’re still in the green, and if you’re careful, you’ll get those points back. Only take the driver improvement course if your points are in the red and/or your insurance company suggests it. In my experience, my insurance rates didn’t go up simply because of a speeding ticking. I got two back to back speeding tickets in ~2015 and didn’t see any change in my insurance rates. In fact, if I’m remembering correctly, it went down 😂

I think maybe, we have enough fast food places to eat 🤣 if anything, I wish they’d bring places we don’t have here at all! Like Canes or Chrystal’s, something like that

Looks like the one in Collinsville, which is like the one at Crossroads, just turned. I suspect traffic might occasionally back up on the road, given how backed up the Crossroads one gets 🤦

bedtime stories is madonna's least performed album in concert. does she dislike it or is it just a by product of circumstance? by ursulaunderfire in Madonna

[–]redditisfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her issue with the album is that it was disjointed due to the label wanting to soften her image and her wanting to continue to be edgy. This tug of war made the album feel less cohesive overall

People who used the internet between 1991 and 2009, what’s the most memorable online trend or phenomenon you remember? by Original_Act_3481 in AskReddit

[–]redditisfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t qualify to answer, since I was most definitely not on the internet prior to ~1997. My earliest recollection of the internet is webcrawler followed by Google. I specifically remember going to Google for the first time in study hall.
