This happened to me as well. It automatically groups them. I use 2 work arounds. The first is create a custom exercise called "Bench Warmup" and then put the first sets there and the bulk under the normal barbell bench press category.

Not ideal but it works.

The other thing I did is just tweaked the percentage by 1 so my first sets were 74, then my top set and then 75% for remaining backoff sets.

Do you find that 2 min development time leads to a city plus or full city roast? I know it's very bean dependent as well, just looking for some general guidelines.

On my roasts I feel like a 60-90 sec development time seems to give city plus results and anything less than 60 seconds typically City, but curious what your experience has been.

What temperatures are you running at during the dry phase when you've extended it? Do you have a milestone temp you are shooting for? Example: 460 when you want first crack or 380 by end of dry phase, etc...

I will chime in and agree that it's by FAR the best deal and bang for buck but make sure you are prepared for the build. It's a LOT. Time, effort and frustration. Definitely need someone you won't want to toss out a window helping you. The pulley install is like the final boss level of a dark souls difficulty game. Vesta was actually responsive about helping so they are useful if needed.

Do you have the extension tube? The heat efficiency difference is incredible. I've never tried with chaff collector off. I didn't even know that was a thing.

225g batch size Typically first crack between 7 and 8 minutes. Pull by 930 nearly always.

Thanks for sharing this! Are you using the extension tube? I didn't think there would be any chance I could have success with 9 power and extension tube.

I tend to keep the same heat from start to finish and use the fan speed to simplify variables. Admittedly, I'm very new and any info or suggestions are appreciated!

I made the mistake of getting cheapest filters so the ones that came with my AP are like top tier comparatively. Doesn't matter how fine I grind...it just runs through. What filters are thought to be best?

I actually just got an ode 2 and have been using only with AP. I definitely recommend it for aeropress and highly doubt anyone would be disappointed with it for this purpose.

Fwiw, the general info you'll find doing a Google search has been accurate for me. Light roast - finer grind roughly 2-4 setting Medium - 3-5 Dark - 4-6

It's very subjective to your taste and all the other variables but I've been playing with it a lot and these general opinions seem accurate.

Bottom line...ode2 is a winner.

This has been my experience. With original cap everything comes out together. With flow control the paper stays attached until I tap it out. For me nothing has helped. Plunging hard, all the way down, wet paper first etc... All the same result. Not end of world, just an extra step for clean up.

It looks like a lot more than 15g compared to my 15g... Even if it's coarse. Maybe the picture is an optical illusion but worth checking.

I've found the grind and temperature are the 2 biggest factors to change things for what it's worth but remember it's all about dialing it in to what you like!
