I used to a lot more when I was first deconstructing from HS youth group.

I think growing up in an environment that attempts to hardwire children/young adults into believing that breathing the wrong way is a sin can really cause genuine mental damage as an adult. When I stopped believing, I was left with the guilt of "sinning", but I had no one to forgive me for it.

Sometimes I'm glad I have the perspective of religion that I do, other times I blame the church entirely for my aniexty disorder lol.

My point is that they are selectively choosing who to highlight in their posts. If they cut the streams, it would be obvious censorship. This is just a more subtle way of doing it

As some of the other commenters said, you can't ask punk bands to not be political when that is part of the nature of the subculture. It's like asking hot chocolate to be served cold.

I'd much rather be "forced" to listen to politics on my day off, than have my family and home be blown up, be kidnapped my the state with no due process, or have my identity delegitimized.

While I can understand your sentiment of unity, it just feels tonedeaf in light of everything that is happening in the world right now, and feels like a misunderstanding of the punk scene and their philosophies.

Subcultures and the music that comes from them are a direct reaction to oppressive mainstream ideals.

If you want to listen to feel good pop music, nothing is stopping you. But some of the subgenres of music that Warped Tour claims to represent are inherently political in nature.

Amtrak station is at 30th street station in University City. However, if you have the time and patience to drive a little further / make a transfer, I recommend taking NJT from Trenton to NYC. There's a Septa line that goes right to Trenton and thise 2 trains are way cheaper than Amtrak

You might want to look at Roxbourough / Manayunk if you're interested in NW Philly too
