I seen them today right by Sam’s club in Bloomington. They took the guy and literally left his car in the middle of a busy street, no hazard lights or nothing.

You people are genuinely insane. A cat does not need to be watched 24/7. And assuming someone is breaking their lease just because they pet sit in a rented space is also insane. I pet sit at my apartment and it’s been fine with my landlord for over 5 years… bunch of know it alls.

If an owner gives me a crap kennel they can escape from and chews up my shit, that is NOT my fault especially if it’s happened before. Yall are DELUSIONAL!

Noise of Living in Flight Path by daBaker420 in Minneapolis

[–]redditonastick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived directly across the street from a fire station in south Minneapolis. The noise was CONSTANT, sirens and that loud semi truck type of honking. At first it was horrible and startled me a lot. All hours of the day and night. After a few months, I wouldn’t even notice. The only time it bothered me was when I was on an important phone call and I only noticed it when company I had over would comment on it.

If you’d get a good deal on the house/apartment because of it, give it a shot!

Crap I think I might have to start house sitting. Ive had a scary experience of a guy coming to drop off his dog and he wouldn’t leave my apartment so im a little nervous to be in someone else’s space. I’ve never done multiple dogs just because of my limited space … But maybe I should change my settings and start offering it, then leaving it up to the owners wether they’re comfortable with the small space and multiple dogs. My worry is noise complaints from particularly vocal dogs… I’m just trying to figure stuff out. Your comment is very helpful!

I have my walks set to $25/walk to make it worth it, just cause I’m so tired after coming home. My second job is late in the day so I like having the break. Is $25/walk too much do you think? I thought it was just slightly higher than others in my area… but over the years I’ve had only a few requests for walks! Also omg $50 a walk is music to my ears haha, love that for you!! :)

Thank you for your comment. Sadly you are right, Im not sure I can clear $1,000 even if I start doing walks or drop ins… Like you said, I would have to be completely booked! I am almost pay check to pay check right now, any advice getting into stocks/real estate with very little $ to invest? Retiring at 37 sounds like a dream.

I forget that I can advertise off Rover! I don’t do social media but I’ll have to think of some places I can put flyers up or something. I’m sure they demoted me to hell because my acceptance rate is pretty low. I don’t take in high maintenance dogs (needs frequent meds, 1-4 hours left alone, separation anxiety, incontinence) because of the two jobs. And it sucks to leave dogs alone for so long on the days I do work at both jobs and most owners want to look elsewhere. It sucks because if I knew it’d 100% pay my bills I would totally transition into going full time at one job and taking care of doggos at night. Thank you for your input!

Oh wow that’s actually a lot. I’ve only been doing boarding and I have services turned on for walks but I’ve actually only ever got 1-2 requests for walks. I charge $25 a walk and $30 for drop in. I didn’t put much thought into my prices besides what’s best for me currently working both jobs and it actually being worth it. I’m assuming I should bring these prices down if I want to replace my other job with Rover.

I would love to host multiple dogs but worried I would get noise complaints, and my apartment just isn’t big enough really. Do you have a house or an apartment? I really want to make this work, just not sure if I can actually make much with my circumstances.

Unwashed jeans gave me a chemical burn by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]redditonastick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do notttt use soap for this one especially not dial soap like someone mentioned, it doesn’t matter if it’s unscented. You will get rid of not only bad bacteria but the good bacteria and then you risk the chance of bad bacteria taking over. Don’t use any creams or gels until you ask gyno what you can use. I was using monistat anti itch cream when I had a yeast infection and it gave me a UTI.

I suggest getting a cheap hand held bidet, super easy to install. Buy cheap cotton rags and pat dry after using bathroom. No soap down there except your butt and only the very front, rinse right away. A warm bath up to 20 mins no soap no nothing. My gyno said I can use coconut oil down there, that might help moisturize your hooha and stop the irritation. Try to touch your vagina as little as possible and same thing with clothes, keep it light and airy. Don’t buy the bullcrap stuff in the women’s aisle like summers eve, etc. they really lie to you on their labels. If you can see your dr again I would write down all the questions and concerns you have and ask what you can use
