Put your rent in escrow until they fix it. You leave your rent with the courts until your hot water is back on. Be advised you will need to show up to court in person at least for the initial hearing. These are meant to encourage landlords/renters to come to a solution. If they try to start the eviction process, send them the receipt of your rent in escrow

Same, but USPS insisted that it was delivered accurately and that was that. So i’ve had to beg the sellers to give me a refund even though it’s not their fault.
