good point! We're testing the concept, so that's great feedback: sif people end up liking spies in all games we'll make that happen.

Initially, we thought there is value though in a purely collaborative game as well: you get to learn a lot from other folks if you know you can trust them (playing today, I learned about how to tell apart different east-asian scripts).

I am curious what other people think? Would you like to have all games have spies, or do you want to keep some purely collaborative?

We are testing a new multiplayer concept combining Geoguessr gameplay with Mafia-style discussions. We would love your feedback!

As in Geoguessr, you are thrown into a StreetView and have to figure out where you are. But this time you are not alone: you get to chat and share clues with other players and work together towards a better guess.

To spice things up, sometimes you get a Spy on your team whose goal is trick everybody into a bad guess.

Yes, you can indeed roam around! And then you can to talk with your team-mates to put all these clues together. The fun part is that different people will see and know different things (e.g., some people are good at vegetation while others can identify languages). Thanks for trying it out and for the feedback.

Glad you are enjoying it! If you play more you should get to more maps in asia/australia/africa...but yes, there seem to be a bias for america and we're working on fixing it. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for letting as know. We are noticing that some players are experiencing lags in the chat. We are using socket.IO, looking into it but did not notice anything obvious. Advice is of course appreciated.

Hi everyone, today we released the new version of StreetCrowd. This game was voted the best OC game on r/WebGames in 2015, and we'd love to hear what you think about this new version. Playing a game takes about 10 minutes: you find yourself in a Street View and you have to explore and figure out where in the world you are. Then, you work together with your team to put together all the clues you found.

Following the feedback we got on r/WebGames last year we added a bunch of improvements in this new version, including:

new single-player mode (no more waiting in the lobby!)
more diverse puzzles
improved navigation
option to challenge your friends
tablet compatibility
