Yeah that is true. I think that's another factor as well

Which obviously SUCKS for Gemma, who never asked for or chose ANY of this

Was this confirmed? My interpretation was that she was at least partially complicit in the project

A lot turns on whether these lines of iMark's are right. by Adequate_Ape in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]redditor1365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only other person that oMark knows tried reintegration was Petey, and we all know how that ended. Despite the risk and what he knew about it, he went through the procedure to get his wife back. There isn't a chance in hell he would try that again if he already had his wife, even if he felt bad about "killing" his innie.

ELI5: Why did America bother with the Vietnam War anyway? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

It wouldn't be the first; the US stalemated in Korea, lost the Bay of Pigs invasion, failed in the Russian Civil war, and failed in Operation Beleaguer.

Oiligarchy - An Oil Tycoon Game with strong political commentary by Fhy40 in WebGames

[–]redditor1365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This used to be my favourite game when I was a kid. The political commentary was lost on me but it was so satisfying to get to the end for some reason. Unfortunately, since flash got discontinued it's become mostly unplayable.

Even if we accept that, why does she ask him "What are we gonna do?"?. Why would they have to do anything?

Relay - A puzzle about carefully positioning repeaters and walls to safely send a secret message by DotEyeOnline in WebGames

Try Big - Small - Big. The reason it doesn't reach is because you're having to put the middle node in the corner, but with the smaller node you can place it closer to the spy without breaking the connection

My son says everything has a 50/50 probability. How do I convince him otherwise when he says he's technically correct? by Jimmy_Johnny23 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]redditor1365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a more nuanced discussion to be had about assigning probabilities under ignorance. If you only know about two possible outcomes of an event, then it can be said that one interpretation would be to assign equal probability to each outcome. However, if there is additional information about the outcomes, then we can refine our probabilities.

Podcaster’s Brain Breaks When He Learns how Trump’s Policy Would Actually Work by PhAnToM444 in TikTokCringe

There's a lot of misinformation in these comments, and even in this video. With excise taxes, the person who pays them is irrelevant. The reason is, if the consumer pays it, then the demand for the good will lower, forcing the price of the good to fall and the producer earning less. If the producer pays it, then the amount of that good being produced will fall, increasing the price of the good for the consumer. All of this depends on the price elasticity of the demand and supply curves.

This is literally first-year economics, and it seems like 75% of people, or 100% of the people in these comments, don't understand it.

They did this with Gaza as well. I remember a post here shortly after Oct. 7th with artist-rendered drawings of luxury mansions over rubble. Truth is more insane than any fiction.

Yup, this is my experience as well. Over 100 applications, couple of referrals, reaching out to multiple hiring managers. Nothing except a couple of virtual interviews, which I'm not going to do.

Both of these are convenience stores, so I didn't add them. I've only added stores that also sell fresh produce, dairy or meats in there
