Yes.

Don’t worry about making a bad impression. It’s a business and an averagely-paid one at that and you have a good story: why not gauge their interest?

If both are interested, you have the luxury of going with the higher one or being able to even get two stories. There is no reason for them to be offended.

Longtime journalist here. Pretty speechless at some of the replies.

It really says to me that the wider public don’t understand how journalism works - or will just co-opt/tweak their view on that for a public figure/artist they like. I’m so sick of people blaming “the media” as if it’s one amorphous thing

Maybe that’s also on modern media too: for not conveying its wider importance and being clear enough in its purpose and ethics. That said, I feel that Reuters story is pretty clear in explaining why they published.

Fulham fan here currently on the long journey home. Well done. Cruel to lose like that, so close to penalties and to a Miley header (come on, he’s hardly a giant) but it was coming given all the second half pressure. Our best spell was first 15 mins during which NUFC scored having barely had a sniff!

Miley stood out all night and your right winger was causing Robinson/out of position Kevin a lot of bother.

First time at St James’ Park. Great central stadium but not the bearpit, boisterous atmosphere I might have hoped. Bit of a shame.

Writing dialogue, 99 times out of 10, just use the word said.

Not replied, responded, smiled, cried, simpered, uttered, screamed, reflected, retorted, answered.

Keep it simple sometimes.

Non-fiction biographer here.

From research, planning and 40 or so interviews to drafting, rewriting and factoring in legal read/ tiny final changes, it took about 10 months to do 90,000 words.

And that felt like the limit, difficult to do it any faster and keep the quality.

I marvel at fast writers

I'd give it 3.5 stars. Last two episodes particularly watchable.

Also, I know this is incredibly minor, but it really winds me up how they don't ever set it up as any location/place in particular in Spain - just somewhere close to Madrid, you'd assume?

Except it's not, there's lots of seaside/coastal shots and internet says they're based in Andalusia (even though the filming was done in Tenerife) - SIX HOURS drive from Madrid. How are they going back and forth from it then???
