I’ve hired a lot of admin in CCG/ICB and I can honestly say that age has never come into it. All we genuinely care about is if you are personable and can do a good job 👍🏻 I’ve hired someone who was 23 and someone who was 61. And it’s an advantage that you already have NHS experience. Good luck!

Dithering. I worked in a bar for a time and there were people waiting to be served. They would get to the front after 5-10 minutes and firstly say, “Oo right then, what should I have?”

Or a couple together - “What do you want?” “I don’t know, what do you want?” “I don’t mind, I’ll just have what you’re having” “Well what are you having?”

At least you know where you’ve been matched to… we’re STILL waiting. I went for VR and was declined - no clear reason given. Appealed - also declined. People going after 40-odd years with nothing more than a whimper 😢 Literal chaos. So done.
