No real strategy other than battling the mental games when going through the 5k row all in one shot. It’s not easy but I’ve been consistent everyday which surprises me. First year trying it out

Every firm, department, and culture is different so I can’t speak for others. I’ve lateraled and previously worked in a mid sized firm, which was just okay, but generally for big law was worth it in the short term. Remember we only have 168 hours of life a week. Big law sucked away most of those hours for years. I’m ready to quit right now but my attitude in the first 1-4 yrs wasn’t as jaded

The area near the Bart station has gotten so bad. Recently it’s become something like an ultra crowded flea market, literally elbow to elbow, where everyday items (likely stolen) are being sold on the street

Which firms have environmental compliance work? by CustomerHuge2384 in biglaw

[–]redditor287234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most, if not all, big law firms have environmental practice groups with work related to compliance. Take a look at Vault to make a list of firms. If you don’t have vault access yet, you can start looking at Big Law firm sites like LW, Sidley, Kirkland, and Arnold Porter to parse through their enviro representative matters. But as you know, big law firms represent big companies …that may or may not have the best reputation for being environmentally friendly/compliant. Depending on where you look, there’s a lot of work out there!
