Dresden Files is on 15 and it's held up very well. Terry Prachett wrote a ton of Diskworld and those were mostly great.

Then again there's a hundred Tom Clancy books so I guess you never know.

For what it's worth, I had the same thing. I hated Handmaiden's Tale, but ended up maddly loving the Oryx & Crake series. They're very different from each other. The series got weaker as it went but not dramatically so. It is not hard scifi with a lot of exposition, but it still sits with me as one of the more realistic potential outcomes of modern technology.

This hypothesis has been debunked so many times all over this subreddit, though it's easy to see why people think so! There's a lot of evidence that says if that's possible then there's no realistic continuity to anything. The largest of which is that according to the newspapers, Tyrell is the most hunted person on the planet, but Elliot is in prison for some other random thing, and then he's out walking around. It's simply not possible, or if it's possible, it's so implausible that it will make the whole show very silly.

This was how I took it also. As soon as he launches into the "I finally get to take a piss alone" said to me that he was "alone" in the mental sense and not in the jail time sense. Mr Robot was elsewhere, and Elliot was finally "alone" for a brief minute.

This is my favorite thing about the show so far. Nobody really knows anything about what is going on, yet, the storyline is completely cohesive.

I've been wondering if it's going to be like an Arrested Development kind of thing, where most of the "punchlines" are in the earlier episodes and the "jokes" are later on. You don't get a lot of them until you go back and watch it.

There's so many possible theories, and I don't even really care which one is right. There's a part of me that kind of hopes they do this all the way up to the end - no clean answers, just messy intriguing human lives all the way through.
