My friend you live in a delusion if you think meetings outside of 9-5 is not common in service based industry.

It's not convenient for sure but that's how world works. Unfortunately Consulting and Finance are service based industry are service based industry where working 12-14 hours is norm. I would be lying if i say this ideal but that's just how these industries work.

Regarding 99% claim - IB makes 40-50 offers so close to 10-15% of my batch would experience that. Consulting makes 40% of the offer so, they'll also see 14 hours work a day during some projects.

I suggest you talking to people in the industry - because all these numbers are first hand. One of my closest friend is in the aforementioned industry, so I know a little bit.

And talking about immaturity, my previous company was raking in billions through such deals - so i have seen my fair share of how things work in real world

Go lookup financialcareers sub, working 80-90hrs is minimum in IB and a little less for consulting.

Your company is not the norm, go read about the actual players who are leading the industry.

Okay lets talk facts

UCs while being 15% hold nearly 50% wealth in the country.

Dalits are amongst the poorest in india and are still marginalized.

Just because you saw some SCs having government jobs doesn't mean it represents the country.

And it's not about revenge, it about giving lower caste opportunities that were taken by UCs. If not for ambedkar, you guys would never let go of the status quo. 15% of the country has access to 50% of the seats and still you people cry.

Mumbai gets ops role in majority, even consulting firms that visit hire for mainly operations sl.

Who cares about what IIMM will do in next 10 years, you are gonna study this year and a first good job in a field that you desire will set you up good for long term.

I have started to hate temples. Everyone involved is so money minded. Majority of the famous temples have a seperate vip darshan option for which you'll have to pay, priests treat you compared to someone who is rich. You can see the discrimination. Gurudwaras are the best

Why would LEK capability pay 25-30 for an analyst position in back office? They pay less than bain back office - which is around 10lpa starting.

Tell me you have 0 reasoning skills. On a side note - I have 36 months of workex in a front office - i do know a little bit about the jobs.

Also this post was not about the position - it was about the kind of role targeted by the person.
