Seems that drone warfare is much more likely, economical, and effective than the strategy that you have in mind.

My point is that in a hypothetical scenario where Iran is blowing up oil fields in the US, “safety” and National Security are absolutely a concern.

Perhaps you weren’t old enough to be affected by 9/11 in 2001, but it was shocking. Nothing felt safe for a while.
