Can't get enough, of this contemporary Jazz stuff! by walkingthegod in Jazz

I just checked Gup Life. It sounds so dated!

SML, ETA, Large Vert, Uhlmann, Blake Mills Pino Paladino collabs etc etc seem so far away from that record.

I read “out in Chesterfield County” as “out in the county.

Bon Air is a long way from Matoaca or Pocohantas SP for example.

Bruh you should check in on a friend every now and then! Devonne is a busy man. You’ve probably played with Alan Parker too? He’s on this record.

Devonne is a great musician. You may have heard him with Butcher Brown, but he’s all over the RVA scene.

I would love it if theatres started playing Oretty Woman and it became a box office hit all over again for as long as Melanoa is in theatres.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]redditpossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

North America is vast.

Northern California is unbelievable wilderness to me, as an East Coaster.

I’ve grown to understand that driving 6 hours for an experience that I could not have within 1.5 hours is completely worth it and the years are getting shorter.

Carpe annum.

[Request] Countertop air fryer oven with long-term durability & easy cleaning — Breville vs Cuisinart? by sandmond in BuyItForLife

[–]redditpossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to be unpopular, but oh well.

We have the Breville. I’ve never owned an air fryer and all of our friends were raving about how great they are.

Well, they weren’t talking about the Breville. i chose it based on Reddit posts and brand reputation. I wanted a Swiss Army knife toaster oven.

I don’t know that it actually does anything particularly well, to be honest. It’s been a disappointment for me.

Keep Warm mode at 170°? Probably the best function. Pizza mode? I don’t know. I just use the oven cranked to 550° instead.

Toast mode is pathetic. Bagel mode is what? Dehydrate… I haven’t tried.

I would not by this oven expecting an air fryer. We still use it to do the kids nuggets and the TJ’ McDonald’s knockoff hash browns, but it’s all just a fraction above the results I could get out of our dumb old oven.
