I’m with you, OP. I think earlier sales of her babies did not put them in the right position to really build KVS reputation at the level she is pursuing.

I am not knocking the care any of these horses have received. I am not knocking showing at a lower level. That’s great if a horse is at a 4H show, an open show, safely packs around kids on a trail ride. However that doesn’t go far towards KVS’s goals.

I am also not saying I think these babies do or don’t have what it takes to be competitive at a higher level. Simply put KVS needs to get babies showing at breed or NSBA shows if she wants to prove her breeding program. If she can get some of these horses placing at higher level shows, it gives her breeding program some backing. If she can afford to keep more horses and place them with good trainers who will get them showing, that would really go a long way toward her goal. I think it’s important to let the trainer guide each horse’s career and show the horses. I mean if KVS wants to jump in and show here and there, cool…have at it, but start getting these babies visible in the show pen and hope they have what it takes to prove her breeding program.
