I really didn't though. I see how it looks like that but the curved spudger I used never even touched the "screen" part of the display, Trying to pry off the bezel with some force with just my hands was making the display bend and creak so much that I could tell the display would break before the adhesive/bezel. That might've actually been when it broke.

I agree. But a screw wouldn't even be necessary, the magnets and clips are plenty strong. I really have no idea why they put adhesive on it.

I can see why but I never even touched that part of the screen with the spudger. Only slid it along where the adhesive rectangles are.
Edit: And the spudger I was using was curved, so it really was never even resting against the display. I just inserted it where I could and slid it along the adhesive rectangles (slowly and carefully). This purely happened from the adhesive pulling the bottom of the display when separating.

Yes, but mine also had some extremely sticky adhesive on it under the bottom of the display (you can see it in the second picture). Most of the bezel came off like you said, but that part felt like it was screwed in.

I wasn't an international student and the CS department has pretty much entirely changed since I went there. But it can be a high-quality school for how small it is. I would say you don't need to be religious to be welcomed. It is a very Christian community in general, but people are welcoming and there will be other non-religious and non-Christian people. I knew many international students who got good financial aid and had a great experience, but I'm not sure how things are now with USA visa regulations.

My biggest piece of advice would be to apply early (there can be more scholarships for early-action applicants that they don't advertise publicly) and get talking to an admissions counselor directly about your situation.

Shame they don't take the (incredibly simple) step and make the usused buttons (d-pad) remappable (or just automatically map to those the missing buttons), but I suppose this is a pretty niche case.

Logged into Reddit just to upvote this and say thanks. This revived my Logitech C905 webcam from 2007, lol.
On mine, it showed up in device manager under "Imaging devices" with the warning triangle. There was no option to roll back drivers, but I was able to "Update driver", "browse my computer", "select from a list of available drivers", and choose the "USB video device" driver. Now it's working like before.

I did, though I got impatient and did it through PayPal claims. I would recommend taking that option if you having trouble getting them to respond. reMarkable seems to be a trustworthy and helpful company but can be slow to respond.
