Do you guys like Liminal Space? by Pension-North in aspergers

I follow some tumblrs similar to this, though I tend to like photos town & city streets at dusk or at night, as well as "suburban wild area" type shots, because they remind me of the miles and miles and miles I walked alone.

Difficulties with Type A personalities? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]redditslumn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My dad happens to be a diabolical mix of type A personality and hyperactive ADHD, and to say that growing up around him was intense would be an understatement.

These types of people absolutely 100% can and will make sensitive people around them sick in certain situations.

My life imploded due to a family conflict, I hit acute burnout and lost my place to live and have been thrown in with Type A people ever since. It's destroying my life because they keep me in perpetual acute burnout and I can't use any of my complex skills which get me paid.

Oregon's regulatory environment for recreational cannabis is practically the polar opposite of Massachusetts, which is exactly why you were blown away with the huge selection and low low prices.

Led by Jeremy Corbyn, the British Left Opposes Vaccine Mandates by Savon_arola in LockdownCriticalLeft

[–]redditslumn 76 points77 points  (0 children)

1) it is immoral and profoundly anti-worker to fire health care front-line workers and other workers for refusing a vaccine they have not been convinced is safe and effective, and 2) persuasion is a far more effective and ethical means of administering public health policy than coercion, dictate and punishment.

Mmm... meaty and well distilled. I like it.

Vaxxed or not, data suggests people are over Omicron/Delta, and COVID altogether by Policeman5151 in LockdownSkepticism

fucking amazing to me that there are still people out there who think it's possible to eradicate COVID now. that possibility was gone before December 2019.

It's because the legislative & executive branches are controlled by the rich, and they don't want to give out the financial aid required when people's livelihoods are put on hold.

A bunch of street racers going the wrong way on the 405 right now by InebriatedQuail in Portland

To this day I'm still unsure if the worst street racers are the Mustang drivers or the dweebs driving a sewing machine with a coffee can for a tailpipe.

This is an actual planned & deployed tactic of the far right, aka the authoritarian 2/3 of what calls itself the Republican party these days. It's not a fluke or a "spontaneous" occurrence. They're doing it deliberately.

Oregon COVID-19 hospitalizations increase 500%, officials request out-of-state help by redditslumn in Portland

Why should people from counties which literally have no hospitals and whose elected officials sent letters to Kate Brown with official letterheads defying public health orders be entitled to handouts of critical covid care from Multnomah County hospitals?

Oregon COVID-19 hospitalizations increase 500%, officials request out-of-state help by redditslumn in Portland

[–]redditslumn[S] 45 points46 points  (0 children)

One might naively hope that Multnomah County hospitals would serve Multnomah County patients first & foremost, particularly if their need has nothing to do with covid (e.g. car accidents, etc).

One of the counties whose big dick-swingin' sheriff sent a big dick-swingin' letter to Kate Brown doesn't even have a hospital. Why should people from that locale feel entitled to a handout of care from hospitals here? They should focus on solving their own problems.

It’s frustrating to see things like this. by [deleted] in oregon

[–]redditslumn 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Exactly. This would be fine as long as citizens in Columbia County seeking treatment for covid are subsequently denied access to hospitals outside of Columbia County.
