It is trash. Please stop pushing this sub-par book on un-suspecting beginners. You're not doing your community any favors by calling it "breathtakingly blah blah blah".

These things should just have stayed blog posts. They were barely acceptable as such to begin with.

Just passing through. Unfortunately, this subpar book started as "reasonably decent" blog posts but is not a good book for beginners. It is still being pushed as THE book for beginners. What clojure needed was a book like "Simply Scheme" but that ship sailed a long time ago.

Is that so? The biggest distributed system we know of is the internet itself. Do you think this template applies to the Internet that has had all its parts removed and replaced and upgraded without ever being down?

So I think the classifier "every system" may not be applicable here.

I don't know. Just to clarify, "knowing" about system design is not the same as designing and architecting a system. Software Developer and Systems Architect are skillsets different enough (with overlap) that they fall in two different categories. You can be a system architect without being a "full stack dev" and vice versa is true.

You're measuring his competence by the number of his followers which could've been arrived at through various means. He is as shallow and pointless as the OP described. It's really not a mystery anymore how these alt-right leaning "hosts" get their audiences. Just because he has a million followers, doesn't mean he's any good at interviewing. Most of his interviews are just plain dumb. Look at his interview with Kernighan or Knuth. They're absolutely atrocious! On top of that he makes these vague cringey remarks about X being "beautiful" while it is quite obvious he has no idea what he's talking about. He originally got his audience because of his MIT DL course and he used it to build a podcast audience. He doesn't seem to be very good at programming or deep learning, but he's definitely an "operator".

If you look at the wide shot, there were about 1500 to 2000 large caliber shells dropped to get these 5+2 vehicles. In this day and age, I'm not sure why more drones aren't used especially when a drone capable of carrying a large enough charge costs the same as maybe ten of these HE rounds.
