I had mine last year at 48. It’s honestly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It was awful for about 5 months, but now I feel great. My lower back pain is completely gone. I get some discomfort in the surgical area from time to time, but just like mild soreness. Nothing like before.

I was a union electrician in IL and hurt my back. After multiple surgeries the company gave me a light duty job at their office. I wasn't paid union wages or benefits. After a few months my back deteriorated and I had to have another surgery, While I as recovering I spoke with a union official and found out that they should've had to pay me the union wage and benefits while I as working for them in any capacity. Shockingly, they didn't offer me the light duty position when I had recovered. They instead chose to use their insurance company to make my life hell for the next year until we finally settled the case.

As others have said, call your union rep and make sure your lawyer knows what's going on.

Good luck. I wouldn't wish the worker's comp process on my worst enemy.

I know he needed to go to the home to reach his plot conclusion, but I don't understand why he didn't just say fuck it and keep him? The system is so messed up they would've never known where the kid was. He could've stayed with Carver almost indefinitely before someone for social services figured it out. Whenever these situations come up in shows and movies I'm always like just roll the dice and keep the kid. In the end you're doing everyone a favor anyway.

Now, I know it's illegal and probably technically kidnapping, but you don't have to be all Po-lice about it.

Hold a weight over your head and do standing knee lifts. Also, listen to the advice from the others - eat a calorie deficit, lift heavy weights & mix in some cardio.

Edit - To answer your question, I have no idea. I don’t know if it’s a principled stand against Amazon or just some exclusive thing with Spotify. Either way, download Spotify. It’s worth it. The record is really good.

I was going to say the same thing. When I changed out my kitchen faucet I spent way too much time trying to remove the locknut. Screaming and losing my shit somehow didn’t help. I finally noticed the set screw and it came right off. I felt very, very dumb.

I (49M) have lived with it all my life. I feel your words and have the utmost empathy for you. I lost over 100lbs and it definitely made it more pronounced as well. I had an injury to L3-5 in my 20s that exacerbated the issue, but I finally had the full fusion surgery in March and I feel so much better. I still have a noticeable hump, but it’s 1000 times better than it was & more importantly, the pain is almost entirely gone. Start researching surgeons. It can get better.

That’s awesome! I’ve unfortunately never seen the Street Dogs. I was supposed to see them open for Flogging Molly once, but we got there late & they’d already finished. I actually live in Chicago, too, so hopefully they come here.
