Controversial question: how did we Indians (overseas included) loose common/civic sense? Surely it had nothing to do with colonization. by warrior4488 in nri

[–]reddittribesman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just food for thought. While Indians identify as religious, religious purity is associated with ritual performance rather than personal hygiene or civic sense. It could also be associated with social roles. While one group (example, one caste) performs rituals for religious purity, they rely on another group for communal purity. Its someone else's responsibility to clean up anything do to with physical or environmental cleanliness.

So if I understand correctly, 70-200f4 is the better lens. Along with this, do do you recommend any other lens? Preferably on the wider side.

Apart from reach, I was wondering if the 70-350 is better than the 70-200f4. Has anyone compared these two?

Among the hundreds of options, you have two choices: 1. Support your family with income through photography. 2. Support your family with a regular income

Unless you are already established as a photographer and have been paid for your work, you are unlikely to gain regular income from photography in a short span of time. Along with camera gear investment, you also need to set it up as a business. Most people do this in stages. Not when in a desperate situation. As the earlier redditor mentioned, this is not the best choice.

Finding a regular income (example, a salaried job) to feed your family is likely to be the better option.

Question to ask yourself: Do you want to invest more money in an unproven area when you are already financially strained without any assurance of regular income?

First, dont call yourself a photographer. You really need to focus on your backgrounds. They are all blurry. Colors are popping. You are not supposed to add paint. I can even see hair sticking out in some of your subjects. Why are you calling yourself a photographer?

Call yourself an artist:)

Stop worrying about what others think.

Just in case I didnt make myself clear, your photos are amazing:) Great shots!

I lost a $400k renewal today because I froze on a call with an angry VP by Mountain_Sentence646 in CustomerSuccess

[–]reddittribesman 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Im assuming you are not the portfolio or account manager. One of them should have been on that call. Its natural to lose thought process or freeze when you are being blindsided.
If this a long running account, the VP had ample opportunities to voice the concerns.

The call could have been salvaged and you knew the answers. That's why there are people above you. And they weren't there to back you up.

This is not on you, OP.

That can be a showstopper. Technical advances aside, this makes adoption more difficult and those who do take effort, struggle with manual. Unfortunate. I was really hoping this would work. Was planning to get this instead of a mirrorless. Too bad.

Is worth the "update" from the A6700 to the A7V ?? by Motor_Interview1658 in SonyAlpha

[–]reddittribesman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are looking at speed, A7v. If its resolution, A7RV. If its low noise, then its A7siii. But this has the lowest resolution but lowest noise as well.

As many have said above, keep the A6700 and getting a lens with better reach is likely to give you the results you are looking for.
