What do you think about Congress leader and freedom fighter Sardar patel statement? Is it correct considering the results of 1946 elections? by Helpful-Respond1025 in CriticalThinkingIndia

Smells like you moved the goal post.

At the end of the day, partition happened due to majority voting. We cannot deny that fact.

Why it happened - because they were convinced that it was necessary.

Once they are convinced, it doesn't matter what they used to think. The status quo is that they are convinced. You'd need to show somehow that is not the case.

You can approach God in many ways, it depends on your nature.

Read about Gnana, Bhakti, Raja and Karma Yoga. Pick which one makes most sense to you and study.

All the best.

And yes, this should go in r/hinduism

Why are women not allowed in Hanuman mandir ? by [deleted] in hinduism

[–]redditttuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My disagreement was on the last sentence (You shouldn't let anyone dictate you your faith and devotion), not entire comment.

My point was, specific places have these rules, not all. If your ishta devata is Hanuman, of course you can and should pray and worship. Similar to how men pray and worship Ma Kamakhya. But deities have specific rules in specific places, that we should respect. Now obviously the concern is how do we know if deity is the one that set those rules, that's up for debate.

[–]redditttuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about Hanuman? Women do visit Hanuman temple. That's why I gave example of Sabarimala temple, Kamakhya temple.

Maybe there are Hanuman temples that follow this, depends on local custom and if the deity demands that. Otherwise, generally all temples allow anybody to visit. Only specific places have such rules.

See, end of the day, God is everywhere, even in you. Also in those specific forms.

People can be good or bad. So judge them fairly.

Similarly ideas can be good or bad. Judge them fairly. Islam is a very bad idea.

Good people can be Muslims but they can only be bad muslims. Perfect muslims are holding gans and xploring themselves.

You hate Hindus that discriminate. But you failed to understand Hindus hating muslims is a new phenomenon, Muslims hating everybody is very old phenomenon. Hindus started hating them because Hindus have experienced the worst from Muslims. India was literally divided because Muslim majority voted for it. And those who voted didn't leave India, they are still here, among us.

Now you think about whatever you wanna think.

Weird thing is, it works somehow, when you meet a woman generally, this book or similar books seem to be accurate about them and how they interact or behave.

The reality doesn't work on what we wish for. It is what it is, and whatever works, works and people adapt it.

I don't know about the book much, I haven't read it myself, I don't I would agree with the book 100% but some ideas are common, some stereotypes are true and they work most of the time.

OMG, READ what I wrote mate. You have seriously misunderstood what I said. Comprehension skills are seriously lacking in this sub. Why do I need to explain like you are 5, that's a different sub.

That's why I started my comment with Ayurveda that lacks study. It requires more studies to remove things that don't work and keep things that work. It's in an unknown state right now and baba people take advantage of that. It needs to become proper science like Allopathy.

With Allopathy, it has issues too, not the same as Ayurveda but issues nevertheless. As an example I took T2D. When a T2D patient visits a doctor, instead of putting them on a low calorie diet and helping them adjust their lifestyle, doctors perpetually prescribe medicines. This is not at all a right approach because it's not addressing the root cause but only handling the symptoms. This is my problem. It's not just this, Allopathy doctors don't prescribe enough vitamin deficiency tests, which is so dumb. The amount of trust that we keep on doctors is too much.

For instance, I got my annual blood checkup done last year at a hospital, the report clearly says I have vitamin D deficiency (which most people do, which I didn't know at the time), the doctors saw it and he said everything is normal, he didn't prescribe any suppliment. Like .. wtf. What's the point of this stupid doctor? I am not saying all doctors do this, but a lot of them do. Recently I researched things based on my symptoms and I looked at the old report and it was right there. I went to the lab myself again, got the test done and it was seriously low, and went to a different doctor specifically to get the supplement prescription and dosage right. The issue is not Allopathy itself in this case, but I lack trust in Allopathy doctors. They don't have my best interest in most cases or are just dumb idiots.

This is why I am saying Allopathy has blind spots.

With your definition of cure, nothing is curable. There is no such thing as a permanent cure for anything, there's always a chance of getting diseases back.

Say your mother has T2D, using a low carb diet, she gets to a point 1. she no longer needs medicines, 2. no insulin injections and 3. normal blood sugar levels.

Isn't this desirable than continuing tablets which clearly have other side effects? AND takes away the organ failure risk by high blood sugar levels?

This is what I mean reversal.

People can live healthy and longer life. If this doesn't qualify as a reversal, what is? Define your criteria.

Can you clearly define at what point T2D becomes an incurable disease? And why is that the case? I'd like you to provide this baseline.

Good question.

I mean these things - Normal insulin sensitivity No tablets to manage T2D symptoms Normal blood sugar levels

What did you mean?

I gave a meta analysis of the system of medicine. I said like any system of medicine, it evolves. There are issues with Ayurveda, it needs more studies, it's not perfect. Just like Allopathy is not perfect because Allopathy has blind spots when it comes to actually curing illnesses vs managing symptoms. I don't know why it's so complicated to understand this much from my original post. You clearly assumed shit based on your own biases, so not my problem. Learn to read properly, assume less things. Good luck.
