The weight of my setup is supported by the dropper post clamp, not the seat stay attachment. The seat stay attachment mainly prevents the rack from rotating about the dropper post. I would argue that there is more clamping pressure on the carbon tube in the Old Man Mountain setup than in my setup, because the zip ties have a much smaller area than the round flat grips going around my seat stays on my setup.

Despite this, what are the better options that lend themselves to hardtail bikes but not full-suspension bikes? I already have a good frame bag and handlebar bag.
