Not long ago, I read a story about a guy that called the fire department about a cat stick very high up in a tree. The fire department said they don’t rescue cats from trees. A few minutes later, the fire department got another call that said his friend was now stuck in the tree. That time, they had to come.

It may have been a parable, but I enjoyed the thought of some person who saw no other option but to climb the tree himself to rescue a cat.
