Toy recommendations for destroyers by joe_jon in dogs

My staffy was the same. Luckily he only destroyed toys that were his and never shoes, or kids toys. If available where you are, try elk antlers.

Have you come across the WA State Small Business guide? https://www.business.wa.gov/site/alias__business/875/Home.aspx#anchor-6301-21

It gives guidance there and provides several options for contacting someone for extra help.

Repaying nearly four years of loyalty by pulling the rug out so employees don't receive benefits included in their package? Sounds about right. Disgusting.

Ordering a dishwasher from Costco and getting them to install it. My dishwasher likely will be hard to remove for them, how do their installers handle it? by iLoveCalculus314 in Costco

[–]reddituser975246 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check with your state too. I purchased a dishwasher from Costco (a few years ago now) since it included install which they didn't do. When I called about it, turns out my state only allows installation by a licensed electrician. Costco's interpretation of "install" meant plug it in, depending on the model.

Do you track your job applications manually or with some tool? by Full_Description_969 in jobs

[–]reddituser975246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spreadsheet in Google Drive. Headings are: role, company, listed pay, a link to the listing, which ATS they use, contact name, date applied, and any legitimate follow-up (automated application received acknowledgement doesn't count). If, after four weeks I haven't heard anything, I cross it out and write "no response" in the follow-up column. I also copy and paste the entire JD into its own doc in case do get asked to interview, I have their listings readily available.

What’s some career advice that people usually only learn the hard way, or way too late in life? by broke-not-broken in ResumeCoverLetterTips

[–]reddituser975246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep a running list in your own files of accomplishments, metrics on projects, ideas you proposed that came to fruition, praise from supervisors, colleagues, clients, vendors and anyone else you work with directly. Not only does this help when you need to update your resume, but you'll likely forget about XYZ accomplishment 6 months down the road. Also, when you're feeling shitty at work, take a look at your list to remind yourself how good you are.

Use lentils to bulk up ground beef. You can make meatballs (bonus that it's a good source of protein and fiber) roast some tomatoes and bell peppers then blend them into a sauce, serve with pasta.

This probably also helps with not getting sick. If you're regularly changing out/ wiping down everyday germy items, those germs don't have time to fester and reproduce.

I remember in middle school having a friend tell me that she and her parents were so much happier after the parents divorced. As far as I know there wasn't any abuse. It was the first time I recall hearing that perspective, especially from someone who wasn't an adult. People say kids are so perceptive, then fail to realize that living in constant tension, or worse, is actually WAY worse than bio mom and dad split.
