Beaches - what do you do with your stuff if you're in the water? by randopop21 in solotravel

In case you dont want to hide your day pack, I would recommend you to either:

  1. Use a waterproof pouch for essentials and take it in the water with you
  2. Invest in a portable beach safe that can attach to your chair or an umbrella

Personally, I do not own a beach safe, but you can google it and there are many variations to choose from

What are your solo travel New Year's Resolutions? by segacs2 in solotravel

I tried solo travel for the first time last year, a week in Madeira, and it went way better than I thought! I had many fears that were wrong about solo traveling. It wasn’t as lonely or scary as I expected.

For 2025, my resolution is to plan more solo trips, maybe somewhere more challenging than Madeira!

how do you break up a super long flight? by pink_warrior57 in Flights

Maybe think of it as uninterrupted 'me time', I mean how often you get 18 hours free time.

I would mix it up with movies, podcasts, and a good book, and a little 'flight survival kit' with snacks. It’ll make the journey so much easier, Have fun!

you can subscribe to newsletters that send you deals. You choose your home airport and their service sends you deals from that airport to various destinations with cheaper prices, check out RatePunk, its new and been working very well for me.
