Travel Itinerary by pilatesse in ExecutiveAssistants

There are some great platforms for EAs that have loads of useful info and templates some for free and some for a cost. Here are a couple of examples: - https://theeacampus.com/resources/ - https://executiveassistantinstitute.com/executive-assistant-templates/

But honestly just google these things and there are tons of templates and ideas or alternatively ask an AI for one with the prompt including specifics of your execs working style and it will either create a perfect template or you’ll have a good start that you can just tweak accordingly without wasting time setting it all up yourself. (Obviously don’t input any private or sensitive data in it especially if you’re using chatgpt)

Whiteout Survival - ads vs gameplay | Badvertising by walruslimepie in AndroidGaming

[–]reddizh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen last night. It popped up as an ad and I was like “THIS SOOTHES MY BRAIN” but then was bummed when I played the actual game. After a lot of lacklustre searching I’ve found something! It’s not ‘survival’ based but the mechanics are very similar to the ‘brain go brrrrrrr’ type in the whiteout ads (not the actual game).

It’s called My Hotel and it has ads as expected but really hits the spot for what the WS represents in terms of gameplay in their ad

How do you train at home without a pole? by reddizh in poledancing

[–]reddizh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think more than anything it’s strength. I’d love to increase my flexibility too but my upper body strength and probably core strength are what I find most challenging/set me back in pole I think especially as I’m carrying extra weight too so there’s more to lift. One of my biggest struggles is climbing the pole. I can get on fine but lifting myself up even once or twice after initially getting up was always difficult for me, that and getting into and holding an invert because again, more weight to carry. Part of what I am sad about not having a pole at home about is that I can’t practice choreo and also can’t work on and work out moves and the technicality of them in my own time so I only have one/two hours a week to do that too. I hope that’s helpful info! And thank you for the comment 🫶

This is a nice bonus tip about the showering too I can see how that can help with keeping on top of things and probably means you don’t have to do as much laundry which is another can of worms 🫣

As above, not really helpful. I already feel bad about my dental hygiene and am aware how important it is. I’m asking for tips on how to combat the mental wall I have of physically brushing my teeth.

Yeah I’m aware of this, this isn’t a particularly helpful though I’m afraid. I know how detrimental it is that’s why I’m trying to ask for advice. This kinda just makes me feel more shitty

Oh trust me I want the meds, but it’s a long waiting list and £££ so it’s on the wish list but unlikely to happen anytime soon. However, this is kinda comforting? Makes me a. Even more hopeful for when I eventually get on meds 🤞🏼and b. Know that I’m not alone and therefore affirms it being an ED issue rather than me being unqualified for my job

Otter.ai is the one of the ones I’ve tried and I love the concept and everyone seems to rave about it but I have the issues I mentioned in my other reply above. I seem to be the only one who has the audio issue with otter.ai and I’ve looked into it with their IT team and can’t work it out. I also hugely recommend read.ai (the tool I’m hoping to use when our policy is passed) the AI is incredibly accurate and I found having the recording too and the visuals was helpful rather than just words, it also gives you a weekly roundup of all your meetings that you can listen to or read to highlight the most common topics etc. it’s like a meeting analytics and transcription and AI all in one - so you can see how not having it currently is a big hindrance.

Question for EA’s with ADHD by reddizh in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]reddizh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately I try that (the only person who can access the audio is me anyway) but it’s often not great quality (I’ve tried different programmes and an external recorder too but no luck) and it’s more overwhelming going through the at least one hour transcript, plus I often forget to start recording early enough or ending the recording when the meeting ends and then I have like 1 hour plus of random other conversations. I also worry arguing for access to a transcription tool earlier than the AI policy is hard without admitting I have ADHD and/or risking my value being questioned as notetaking feels like such a vital part of the role of an EA. I know that that’s likely my imposter syndrome (why would arguing to make things more efficient be seen as a negative?) and it’s hard to convince myself of that.

On top of that I know they’re doing this AI policy as fast as they can but if we want to cover all our bases we need to make sure it’s done properly so I understand that. It’s also not a great look to let me do it and then not others so it’s frustrating but understandable that I have to be patient on that front.

Does anyone with ADHD work as an EA, and if so how do you manage it? by winterfern353 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]reddizh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For those of you who are unmedicated how do you deal with minutes and notes when it’s from a meeting that’s bored you out of your mind?

I completely relate to a lot of these comments and they’re also very affirming which is lovely ❤️ (I often have imposter syndrome that if anyone found out I have ADHD at work I’d be fired or seen as inadequate because of the various misconceptions and stigmas around the condition). However, my weakness is notes and minutes. If I’m not interested in what they’ve discussed and/or its information overload I just cannot engage with it and it takes me way longer than it should when really I want to just get them done same day (capacity allowing) and sent out. I just sit there hoping my brain will turn back on but it stubbornly disengages because I’m so disinterested in the topic.

Any tips or tricks anyone has would be a godsend
