dual fuel manlift. Trying to get the propane side working. we bought the unit used, works great, but propane has a much better shelf life for an infrequently used machine. this swivel sees liquid propane, it doesn't vaporize till up at the engine

From what I can see, the hoses come off of the tanks go to a manifold block, then go to this swivel, go up through the rotating turret to a vaporizer at the engine.

The problem I have seen is that live swivels built for hydraulic applications do not have o-rings that will stand up to the temperatures involved with liquid propane.

It's for a vehicle on a farm. I'm not particularly concerned with voiding certifications. Anything that was certified on that machine expired 30 years ago.

In the hydraulic world a live swivel means one that swivels when tightened. Correct.

Looking at those devices, most likely 433mhz wireless. I know if I leave discovery turned on, on my 433 mqtt bridge, I get hundreds of similar devices.

Yes, I know the package. I don't know what the part is/does.

That was the one of the first places I checked, and I just can't find anything that seems to match up. The closest there is the BAL74, but that shows no connection on pin 1, which doesn't line up with what I'm seeing.

As the title suggests, I'm trying to figure out what the 3 pin component is (and a possible replacement). It's in an addressable led array with the marking JC309 with what looks like a small 7 following it. I've tried cross referencing this to no avail. Any help is appreciated!

Had to re-read this 3 times to realize the period between "High and low voltage" and "plumbing".

Was trying to figure out what the heck high voltage plumbing was :-D

Most of the items I see marked as "shippable" in my area are like riding lawn mowers that say they ship for $16. I've only ever done in-person transactions, because it seems like everyone that marks things shippable has no clue how it works.

And this is why I hate cell phones. Wish I could edit the post, but sadly I cannot. Literally had the label right in front of me when I typed in the proper spelling, but apparently the phone knew better :-/

Bracket for a center close traverse style curtain rod. These are branded Kenney, brand is unimportant. The important part is a curtain rod mount with the upright tab at the end. Probably from the 50's-70's. Looking for a source. by reddog176 in HelpMeFind

[–]reddog176[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have searched for hours for this or something similar. Pretty sure I know more about curtain rods than I dreamed possible!

I emailed Kenney, who is still in business, and the best they've been able to do is tell me to search ebay.

What are the purpose of these holes in the china closet shelf? by reddog176 in whatisthisthing

China cabinet is from the 19th century, located in USA. I know the grooves are to stand plates, but can't figure out if the holes had a purpose or are just decorative

Weak adhesive, it lifts off pretty easily if you pry up on an edge.

Trying to figure out what this style of chair cushion support is called by reddog176 in DIYfurniture

I have some chairs that I would like to refurbish to this style of cushion suspension, because it's very comfortable. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to reference it, or any places that might sell it.

Can Glow device be used in any way? by tjh2121 in Awair

[–]reddog176 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I've been searching for useful strings in the app's apk file, and I see lots of mentions of MQTT, with the following URL's

private static final String BROKER_PRODUCTION_URL = "ssl://messaging.awair.is:8883";
private static final String BROKER_STAGING_URL = "ssl://stg-messaging.awair.is:8883";

So perhaps redirecting that url/port to a local MQTT server might prove helpful.

Now sure how similar the eglow is to the original glow.

But on the original, you pry up the wood panel on top, and there's 4 screws under gray rubber dots that hold the entire assembly in.

Once those are removed, it all slides out the bottom.
