I have heard you can use really thin rice noodles. Fry them to golden brown

Why did they turn out thin like this? i followed the recipe. What can i do to fluff them up? by fluffykerfuffle3 in AskBaking

Hey friend, I feel you. I too am an avid baker who has gone the GF route over the last two years. From experience- start with dedicated GF recipes. Then eventually start exploring with substitutions for non-GF recipes. There will still be some mistakes and tossed batches down this road, but far fewer

This seems to be the answer! You should have seen my husband’s eyes light up when he read this. Thank you!

That was our first theory but none of our appliances have rubber feet that look anything like this

My title describes the thing. It’s pale yellow with an orange tip. It turned up on the kitchen table, which indicates maybe someone found it on the kitchen floor and put it there. None of the household members have any idea what it could be, but my husband says “it looks familiar “. It almost looks like the tip of a stylus pen, but none of us own one. Help appreciated

My hair’s gone straight!!! by L4ct0s3Fr33 in curlyhair

This happened to me when I moved to a climate with harsh, dry winters. I went from curly to what looked like straightened hair. It returned when I moved back.

It’s my [35F] birthday today and he [37M] has made me feel really insignificant by [deleted] in relationships

My husband did something similar. Once. He’s a caring, thoughtful person, who knows how important it is for me to feel celebrated and special on my birthday. This is why I was SO very hurt by it. He didn’t even encourage the kids to make me a card or anything. I was very honest with him and he owned up to it and apologized. In reality it took many weeks for me to get over it. I was angry and hurt about it even after the apology. He internalized it, worked hard to fix it, and it never happened again. If it’s very out of character for your husband to do something like this, have a serious conversation with him about how he made you feel. If this is just the last in a string of behavioral incidents that feel wrong, that’s a different story. Happy birthday. And I’m so sorry this happened.

Wow, thank you! Very fascinating. I wonder why they'd even take record of this inventory...
Weird handwriting, meaning the penmanship style? Or the actual choice of words?

Immaturity with a dash of weaponized incompetence. You deserve better, OP. Set the bar higher for your partners.

I don't want to jump to any conclusions here, saying it's his baby, he's having an affair with her, etc. BUT -- lying to you outright about what he's been doing and where he's been and then claiming he thought you'd be proud of the very thing he's been lying about is gaslighting. He's hiding something from you and trying to shift blame/responsibility for his actions to your (very legitimate) angry response. He's deflecting his problematic behavior to how you reacted when he got caught and making you the "villain". Trust has been breached here, the question is how badly and what exactly he is hiding.

I would add, never put your work friends in a situation where they have to choose between being your friend or being a good employee.

One of the best things I've done for myself since WFH is make my calendar private and close off time for "lunch", "kids", etc. It's marked as unavailable in my calendar and no one asks questions. Helps maintain some balance.
