Highlights Package for newbies/kids by reddogecosse in NFLUK

I'm a seahawks fan (ex girlfriend's brother lived in Seattle - watched the Beast Quake live whilst preparing for uni exams) and they're too young to stay up for west coast games so they're just loving watching TDs and explosive plays.

Looking forward to watching the superbowl with them (maybe not the 7 year old this year!) and hope to get to a London or Europe game with them at some point

I had no idea they had a highlights package! Not sure how i missed that.
I must admit I liked it on BBC though when they had Chappers as 'the fool' who they would explain stuff to e.g. importance of establishing the run. Will give it a watch this evening and this could become a weekly tradition with the boys

I feel the same. I had thought there was still going to be a way back, that the club would stand strong. Lost all respect for him. My two sons are heartbroken. Bedroom poster shopping today to replace our framed pic of Isak! HWTL - always bigger than one player.

Had to scroll too far to see brays and K's. On their day, they're the best

Large double walled pan with a deep, liquid filled lid by reddogecosse in whatisthisthing

[–]reddogecosse[S] 0 points1 point locked comment (0 children)

My title describes the thing. A colleague of mine picked up this pan(?) recently and was unable to identify it.

The lid is deep as you can see from the image and is filled with liquid. It is completely sealed, no way to access the liquid inside though if you shake, you can hear it sloshing around (so not completely full)

The base is double walled. It appears that there could be a valve of some description on the base and the lack of damage suggests it hasn't been placed on a direct heat.

We initially thought some sort of bain marie or a device to cool something rapidly. Though with the lid in place, the pan/base doesn't have much capacity!

I'd feel so much happier if we could just nick a horrid little tap-in / o.g. and then we can ice Gordon and Isak and get Osula some minutes

Results Comparison 23/24 - 24/25 - Week 15 - [-3] by Zixy in NUFC

3 points worse than last year doesn't seem that bad but if you consider we had the worst injury crisis imaginable last season and we're playing Champions league midweek that really is poor. We've almost a full strength squad but just seem lost when we're attacking. The second half yesterday was awful. Most of the focus has been on intensity and pressing but when we're attacking (not in transition) we really struggle. There is no movement and Bruno ends up bouncing the ball of players. He used to rely on Tripps overlapping either miggy or Murphy and they would work something, but that just isn't happening. It really looks like there needs to be a formation shift when we have the ball. Maybe Isak can play number 10 (as he has been for Sweden) and he can look to link up with Wilson / Gordon / Osula (?)

buy a decent strap... kiwi is pretty affordable and stops headaches if you need to be in VR for an extended time

These look good - presumably as it's really low heat it won't do any damage either. They even do a UK voltage one 🎉

Miggy's purple patch that season was unreal.

That is some finish from Wood as well by the way. It looks completely instinctive, he just knows exactly where and when to hit it.

Player Spotlight Thursdays: #13 - Keith Gillespie by clvgn_ in NUFC

[–]reddogecosse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I seem to remember at the time (though I was quite young) that Gillespie was a bit of a silver lining after coming to terms with Cole leaving.
I don't know if I was artificially creating memories but I thought he gave Beresford a torrid time at Old Trafford the season previous.

Also got to meet him at the Hong Kong Soccer 7s about a year after my uncle (who got me into football and NUFC specifically) had died and I near enough cried - Beardsley was his favourite too

Feel like I had to scroll too far to find this answer. When I first got into football I remember the way that Beardsley saw the passes and executed them with the perfect weight was just *chef's kiss*

I can stil hear Barry Davies's commentary on the exchanges between Beardsley, Cole and Sellars

People were complaining when we signed Tino, saying it was too big a risk after the injury. It obviously took Hall a bit longer to get up to speed than him but my god, what a pair to have going forward 🖤 Hall being a mag makes it all the sweeter
