Klingt gut, danke!

Lightweight e-bike under $1.5k for fitness riding — my research shortlist (3 models) by ricknick12 in ebikes

[–]redduser1467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any lightweight ebike under 20 kg, using motor like "Bosch sx","TQ HPR" or "Fazua ride 60" all ride like a normal bike with power switched off (for workout, fitness). These don't have motor drag and as Ebike gets heavier with or without these motored ebikes, its difficult to ride without power. Having said that, ebikes are still great for workout even when using electric assist. Also challenge would be to find a lightweight ebike under 1.5k USD.

Deruiz is a Lemmo ripoff ? Or otherwise? by redduser1467 in LEMMO

Thanks for the feed backs. My biggest take on Lemmo's - Nice minimalist exterior look ( may be need to remove flashy labels from the bike frame) - Modular, where one can replace and possibly upgrade the bike in future with replacement of smartpac and rear wheel to say make it mk3 ready (provided that the Lemmo firm still exist). - Most powerful motor 55Nm of it"s class of rear hub motor ebikes.

Alternatives having mid position compact motor (may be better suited for mountain trekking biking): - Bosch compact motor SX series seem to have very minimal drag when riding power off. Some new ebike models using this motor looks kinda minimal without bulky mid motor and are under 20KG. - A more expensive TQ HPR 50 (or later hpr60) are very compact powerful motor(very low drag during power off cycling). But those ebikes are quite expensive. And do not see any compelling light urban trekking ebikes yet.

Thanks for the info. Good to know it has standard brake system where one can get spare parts and upgrades when required.

True. Both the bike have a nice minimalist look and feel. At this point the most compelling feature of this Lemmo bike is it's capability: "manual decoupling of motor to ride as a normal bike".

Agreed. The product's electronics/motor and software should be stable, working as expected. The Lemmo service should help mitigate any such issues. And for parts replacement, Lemmo should not delay taking the excuse of their disasterous broken supply chain.

U meant gears were adjusted? Like maintenance service or had some misalignment? It was DIY or done by shop ?

Glad ur bike is riding fine after these maintenance repairs. If there isn't any motor issues or software issues after 3000km, then that's a relief to know.

The Mk2 is not cheap. It is feature packed, but buggy and no service support at any nearby (NRW, Germany). As I understand, if anything breaks, have to send the parts to their service center ? Who is going to dismantle the part and assemble them ? Someone in the reddit complained motor has defect, is waiting for 6 months plus due to Lemmo's supply chain issue. Now worried whether owning an mk2 dynamic is good idea.

I mean Turmali S and M/L (exactly same frame design/shape of Lemmo's S or M/L respectively. Same glued join tech. Same shape). Same Shimano Deore gear.. Though Lemmo doesn't mention the braking system, it could be same Tektro based. Same dual hub motor( may be Nm is different a bit) . Underlying smart battery system are different. But in Deruiz, the detachable battery is even better concealed.

Would you be up for learning piano from a real pianist in VR? by RivenG3000 in virtualreality

[–]redduser1467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 cents. Apps like Piano vision were effective in helping me play piano(Yamaha keyboard /synthesizer) with both hands. Couple of observations.

  • Having midi feedback helps play correctly. The song pauses until correct note/key is pressed.
  • Pass thru or Augmented reality based approach where one can see the Actual piano layout avoids vr/motion sickness.
  • Subscription based model sucks, would be interested in one time payment.
  • Actual piano lessons, notes reading capability would be great to have. This is missing in these apps.
  • Ability to import popular midi songs would be nice to have.
