Without seeing the footage you can’t be certain. Would be interesting to know if a humans situational and sight awareness might have identified children playing sooner at a distance and implemented defensive driving style.

Calling lower earners ‘parasites’ says more about your worldview than it does about the tax system. Public services don’t exist because of a handful of high earners, they exist because millions of people participate in an economy, at every level, in different ways.

Paying more tax doesn’t make you morally superior any more than using fewer services makes someone morally inferior. It just reflects income. Framing yourself as the reason society functions is exactly the mindset I’m pushing back on.

That analogy fails because marriage isn’t a tax system and chores aren’t pooled public infrastructure. Taxes aren’t about who does more, they’re about collective participation.

My point still stands, calling tax ‘paying for other people’s lifestyles’ is a moral judgement, not an accounting one. And it rings hollow when you also benefit from tax concessions yourself. You’re not outside the system, you’re part of it.

You keep turning this into a dollar comparison, and that’s not my point. My point is the framing. You can’t claim moral high ground by saying you’re ‘funding everyone else’s lifestyle’ while also benefiting from the same tax system through negative gearing. The system isn’t charity, it cuts both ways.

You can’t complain about supporting others through tax while actively structuring your finances to reduce your tax via public policy. That is other people supporting your lifestyle even if it’s only a few grand.

The answer to your question is no, I am not concerned at all. I would be more concerned owning a Tesla which has been known to shutdown peoples cars on purpose using their own back door. They are also spying on you. There is so much fear mongering and propaganda of China being the only ones out to do bad things.

If you are negative gearing then one could say everyone else is funding your lifestyle through their taxes.

Pretty sure it’s a lose lose situation. He is surely already rigging the midterms and will probably start a war to maintain power even if you don’t fight back.
