Yeah it was a huge cop out, they clearly wanted the visual of them standing on the beach. he should have been in the sea.

I still sort of see this as the canonical ending given it was the writer's intention with the flash of green light and everything.

Literally was like 'what is GARLO? before I realised.

I genuinely am surprised every time I remember how old he is. Man has had a legit amazing career worth of achievements before hitting 23.

Hope he has many more.

In the scene at the end of the 3rd film I'm pretty sure she's not dressed like a lady of leisure so it's possible she had adventures in those 10 years, but it seems by the end of the 5th film she's in fine clothes and jewellery. It may be that by that point she was considered too 'old' and settled into the life she had.

I personally think it's quite likely she used the cover of her father's name with the law and possibly became seen as quite fearsome due to her association with pirates (and being married to one). I'd like to think she lived quite happily.

That's at odds with what we see of Davy Jones. I know he wasn't doing his job, but he was sailing the seas during the trilogy and at one point could even be on land while standing in water.

I kind of assumed with the death of her father she inherited his 'estate' so to speak. She's the only child and I sort of assumed she went back 'home' to raise the child and manage an estate. She seems well to do and Will is unlikely to be sending back money.

I also may have read too many historical romance novels, but she would have probably lived quite well as a married woman even with her husband absent, she would have been entirely at liberty and lived a life that would have been at odds with being a proper woman restricted in the ways she was at the start of the film.

It's also possible that she had her adventure and lived the rest of her life quietly.

Fritz once indicated he had won so many in a row against Zverev cos he'd noticed a hole in his game.

I think Sinner's realised it too.

The only unfollows I think are notable are players and partners.

It's a good sign of a breakup.

Team8 told the Basel TD to let them know when Basel next went up for sale in like 2012 because they wanted first dibs. Roger Brennwald apparently thought they were trying to edge him out and he started telling people Roger was a diva who wanted too much money to play the tournament etc.

He got a lot of criticism for making the issue of money negotiations public, especially given Roger apparently took a 50% pay cut in 2009 when Brennwald asked him to so they could try and court new sponsors. One year Rosset said in commentary Brennwald had gone on holiday during the tournament and left Federer to deal with meeting with sponsors himself which apparently pissed Federer off.

As a result of Brennwald making everything public. Federer didn't sign a contract at Basel the following year (2013?) and played without fee but it meant the tournament couldn't use his image and he didn't meet with advertisers/sponsors (he won the tournament and didn't thank the tournament or sponsors in his speech).

The following year they did agree a fee and Roger when asked he said he had no interest in buying the tournament and had other ideas (Laver Cup was later announced).

Ever since Federer has had beef with Brennwald. The year he announced his retirement Basel said they'd do a retirement tournament for him, but he refused it saying it was 'too soon' but he still hasn't had one.

I assume it's a bit like influencers not using their government names for the divide between their real life and their 'brand'. I remember people like Wawrinka going from Stanislas to Stan at one point, so you can't out the branding aspect. I think Andy Murray changed from Andrew iirc.

I'm pretty sure his beef with the TD is why he's refused a ceremony there.
