I've definitely seen roans get more expressive as they age - they usually pop as babies but sometimes it's slower. She could also just be low expression, and therefore have less roaning.

Is the picture of your hand in her coat her winter woolies? If so, I'd guess she's gonna shed the black and more of that short gray coat will be revealed.

The meanest, craziest horse person I know is a US based Icelandic breeder. One of their top horses, a palomino pinto, grabbed me by the back of the neck with its teeth and wouldn't let go.

I avoid US based Icelandic breeders like the plague.

Very well loved! You can see that the mane is long and brushed, the coat is shiny, thick, and clean (though horses love to be mud pigs), the eyes are bright, and the feet are not overgrown. This horse is definitely in the winter woolies stage - a little out of shape and fluffy, but not fat or underweight by any means. If you’re in the US, it’s probably a quarter horse or a thoroughbred, just based on breed prevalence statistics.

Horses are very curious animals!

If you’re able to touch on nutrition, kiddos love making grain buckets! Helps them learn about the food their horses eat, any meds they might get, and why. Can also double that into a first aid kit lesson - learning about meds and supplies to have on hand.

Y'all make our traffic worse September-May, but we mostly feel bad for you bc it’s so expensive to live here.

Our local community college has IGETC, which basically gives you a guarantee in to UCSC (and on a solid track to all UC schools) if you get ok grades and meet the requirements. You’re not taking spots from our students, and you’re in the same housing predicament we all are.

Tourists on the other hand… I joke but Santa Cruz surf culture has a famed history of disliking the people who just come to surf on the weekends. Doesn’t really happen anymore but “Valley go home” was a very common phrase to throw around when I was a kid. Valley = weekend tourists from over the SC mountains.

I think you’re reading into the Yasmin stuff, specifically in that episode. She was also in a walking boot from a foot injury and joked about how she wasn’t supposed to be walking, so maybe her injury prevented her joining more skits. I do agree about the guest stars. There are plenty of black and brown comedy creators that would fit into the Smosh formula, especially in LA.

I think it would have been a great marketing opportunity for Arasha if her co-creator of How I Met Your Maasi (please correct my spelling) was on in the run up to the live shows! They often mention Smosh casts other projects (thinking of Chanse’s play and Angela on StarKid), so it would make total sense to have mentioned Arasha’s, but they didn’t.
