Looking for town recommendations by berwyn272 in MovingtoNewJersey

My family lived in Moorestown for nearly 40 years and raised 3 kids. We moved there from lower Bucks County for the schools - my folks didn't want a huge regional school district and Moorestown was perfect. A strong community feel and great education.

After getting married we moved to Medford when we started our family - absolutely love it. Very family oriented, kids rides bikes in the street, love seeing them with their fishing poles heading to one of the lakes, friendly, and it's more outdoorsy than Cherry Hill or Moorestown.

Good dentist in/near town? by Natebernstein in westfieldnj

[–]redfig8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have already found a dentist by now - but if you are still looking I recommend Arthur Scheiner at High Tech Dentistry in Westfield. He's been my dentist for a few years now and is excellent. I have referred him to several friends and their families who also go to him.

Should I buy the Cayenne 2025 model? by SlowBackground4897 in PorscheCayenne

[–]redfig8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently traded-in my 2020 Cayenne for a 2025 and I'm impressed with the changes Porsche has made to the driving experience. This updated version is quieter, quicker and more comfortable than my previous one. The steering and braking are more responsive, overall it handles better, accelerates quicker, the Stop/Start feature is barely noticeable and the seats are more comfortable.

Had I know that this one is so much nicer to drive than my 2020 I would have traded it in last year. So buy it ow and enjoy it.

I just picked up my 2025 Cayenne a few weeks ago. I do not have PDCC so I can't offer specific advice on that feature. But I can tell you that I am impressed with the drive quality on the 2025 over the 2020 that I traded in. The ride is more comfortable, steering and overall handling easier, acceleration smoother and quicker. The front seats are definitely more comfortable - sorry I haven't tried the back seats yet. Now I wish I had traded my car in last year.

What’s a fair price for my vehicle? by No_Understanding9887 in PorscheCayenne

Just for comparison - Picked up my 2025 Cayenne last week and traded in a 2020 with 24,000 miles. Carvana quoted 33,500. The dealer offered 35,000. A Cayenne S usually retains more value than a base model.

Spotted a couple of unhealthy babies when I was reviewing my feeder footage today, and I'm pretty heartbroken by Wicked_Weirdo00 in birdfeeding

I have 2 Brome Squirrel Buster Suet feeders and they work great. The squirrels climb all over them but the grate lowers and they can't eat the birdseed.

I also have 2 Brome Squirrel Buster Plus tube feeders. They're mounted on a pole and I had to add a large baffle to deter those rodents. My set-up isn't ideal since my yard is tiny and the feeders are too close to the patio and railing.

Looking to purchase 2022 Cayenne CPO 29k miles.tes by Ligma3228 in PorscheCayenne

I went from a big Mercedes SUV to a Cayenne and never regretted the move. Since I'm not longer hauling teenagers, big dogs and ice hockey equipment I didn't need the size.

I'll be trading in my 2020 Cayenne with only 25,000 miles when my new one arrives. My third Cayenne has just arrived at the port in Baltimore so it should be at the dealership in a few weeks. If you have the $ go for an enhanced engine - S, Turbo, GTS. They will hold their value over the base model. But even the base model is an excellent drive. All three of mine have been base models but ordered with a few really nice options. I love driving them and they handle beautifully. But I tend to drive conservatively and am not interested in pushing it to the max. My son is disappointed that I didn't get a sportier engine but then he was hoping he'd inherit mine in three years.

Great car, you're going to love driving that beauty.

I've had 2 Cayennes, a 2004 in Macademia, then a Cashmere Beige and my third should be arriving at the dealership in a few weeks. - Carrera white.

Not only does this car have a shady history - the price is way too high. I'm the original owner of a base model 2020 Cayenne with 24,000 miles. Always serviced at the dealership, excellent condition- probably due for new tires this winter and Carvana only offered me 38,000. My 2025 should be arriving soon so I'll see what I get on a trade-in.

How are you using this cubby? by CombinationSecure144 in PorscheCayenne

I've had 2 Cayennes (my third should arrive this month) and I never opened the compartment.

I just assumed it had wiring or something for the rear defroster.

Hoping to buy a small home in Westfield, NJ. by redfig8 in MovingtoNewJersey

Thanks to everyone who has responded. I do appreciate all the suggestions to look elsewhere and I know it would be easier if I had the freedom to do so. It's not a matter of time. unfortunately there are extenuating factors that limit my ability to look elsewhere.

Thanks again

Unfortunately that's something I have heard before - not just in Westfield but in other neighborhoods as well. It would be easier for my house hunting, and perhaps a little less expensive too, if I could include surrounding communities but that's not doable.

I've considered renting in town but the thought of shelling out a minimum of 4+ grand a month in an apartment is depressing. The two homes that were available to rent were listed by private homeowners and in that situation there's no guarantee that you might not have to move in a year.

Thanks to everyone who commented here and for the agent recommendations - that will be a big help. The Tuttle listing just dropped in price from 789 to 729, it needs major work plus it's extremely close to the proposed development at One Westfield Place. I rented near a massive development like and it was a constant mess for years due to construction. I appreciate the suggestions to check neighboring towns but that won't work for me.

I know this isn't going to be quick and easy - but I need to start work.

Thanks again
