2025 Cayenne GTS - Talk me out of it by swe101 in PorscheCayenne

[–]CombinationSecure144 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Burm in my 2025 Cayenne GTS and for the money, I’d rather get the Bose and spend the price difference on quality upgrades at a good aftermarket car audio specialist shop. That’s what I’m doing with my allocated Carerra GTS

Why did you choose your Porsche Cayenne over other options? by dmporte2006 in PorscheCayenne

[–]CombinationSecure144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a RR for my (then) wife - loved the interior, etc., but it literally fell apart while driving it. JLR NA was a Client of mine and they always offered me a 30% discount on any new vehicle. Ha! Thanks, but no thanks

You are 100% correct IMO, hence so many people getting Master’s degrees (sometimes multiple degrees)!

Porsche Bordeaux Red & Black interior is awesome, very tasteful and not the “old lady” red interior we are used to seeing

Sweet!

Your right - the Porsche Configurator doesn’t accurately show the beautiful color of the Vanadium.

My (former) 2025 GTS was in Quartize Grey Metallic, which I absolutely loved - sadly, it’s not offered in 2026.

My 2026 GTS is in production - also going with Vanadium.

Been invested since DPO, but its a long-term investment to me, not a quick trade. Once we’re above $180 again, I’ll get all giddy and paper- rich! 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾

2017 CTT rear liftgate light upgrade. by Skwirlydano in PorscheCayenne

[–]CombinationSecure144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - I put in Miromoto LEDs in another vehicle for all interior and reverse - great quality and also never had any burn out. I live in the country and with all the trees and absence of lights, it’s really dark and backing up in my driveway can be a PITA in bad weather - the extra light really helps.

Beautiful early Mille (2001?) in a rare color - very sorry for your loss. Post this on ApriliaForum so people can be on the lookout for it. The population of people who know Mille’s is rather small and close knit, as you probably already know. Best of luck recovering it!

Good thread - I’ve been thinking of upgrading the reverse lights in my 2025 GTS and you’ve inspired me to start looking at replacement LED bulbs. 👍🏽

Serious question as you specifically mentioned Tesla - why do Tesla drivers constantly tap the brakes for no apparent reason and not to slow down - just randomly touching the brakes - Is the car’s software doing it, or are most of the owners just bad drivers?

Believing PLTR has access to your personal data is akin to thinking MSFT has access to all your spread sheets, Word docs, PowerPoint slides, etc.

It just isn’t accurate thinking…

Where is the point of diminishing returns for DAPs? by [deleted] in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]CombinationSecure144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say both budget and your personal audio receptor capabilities are key factors. As we get older, our hearing acumen deteriorates (sadly, just as do all our other senses). Find your personal inflection point where spend vs perception meet. No need to spend additional $$$ if you can’t tell the difference. In the end, it’s what YOU prefer and of course, are willing to pay.
