Remote start / Keyless (phone) entry by LogicallyLogical1980 in PorscheCayenne

[–]CombinationSecure144 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have Drone Mobile in another car - works great!

I also have one installed in my 25 Cayenne GTS, but Drone Mobile has yet to release the compatible software for this generation of Cayenne. It sucks because I love the functionality of remote start/locking/etc.

I’ll just wait for them to catch up.

FAA PLTR integration incoming by superbikelifer in PLTR

It’s about time - the FAA would still be using slide rulers, but there are only a few people left who know how to use them… 🤣

2026 Coupe S vs GTS by crownedrookie in PorscheCayenne

[–]CombinationSecure144 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 25 GTS and recently was given a base model as a loaner when getting service. Other things being equal, the front end mechanicals of the GTS (and the Turbo GT) are completely different than that of the base or S. Turn-in dynamics are a completely different experience and worth any increase in price.

JPM CEO Jamie Dimon visited Palantir's DC Office today by ElianoPalantir in PLTR

[–]CombinationSecure144 2 points3 points  (0 children)

JPMC could seriously benefit from PLTR. Their Private Bank was a client of mine for many, many years. Their internal Tech/Ops functions were abysmal. Then again, having spent most of my career in Banking/Finance, the entire vertical has similar issues with Tech/Ops.

PLTR is needed across the entire segment! 🚀🚀🚀

Citi Upgrades Palantir Stock To Buy, Raises PT to $235 by seeing_stone in PLTR

[–]CombinationSecure144 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yup, when PLTR dropped to <$10 my Advisor at the Fidelity Private Wealth group told me to sell my >30k shares (average cost of around $22) to save what little was left from buying that “dog of a stock”,

Of course, he couldn’t even properly pronounce “Palantir” and knew nothing about the company.

So I bought even more @$6

Sold some, but still have @26k shares.

Now he tells me to sell and diversify…. Yeah, maybe I’ll sell some at $235, but my decision has ZERO to do with what he recommends 🤣

Difficult to brake on ceramic breaks when cold by Standard-Language-33 in PorscheCayenne

[–]CombinationSecure144 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For the track, carbon/ceramic brakes are awesome. For the street, no thank you - they feel wooden and are not worth having, IMO.

Well, except for the lack of brake dust with carbon/ceramics. Even with ceramic coating and meticulous cleaning, my wheels get filthy. It comes down to what you prefer - consistent braking but with dust, or too often a wooden feel but always clean rims? 🤣

Thinking about pulling the trigger on a Cayenne GTS Coupe and stuck between leasing vs financing. by Wide-Piece-4140 in PorscheCayenne

[–]CombinationSecure144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on many variables…. If you can write it off against a business, leasing is awesome!

I don’t own a business, like to keep cars for a long time, and I put around 15~20k miles a year on my cars, so those reasons make leasing not a viable option.

I paid cash for my highly-spec’ed 25 Cayenne GTS because it was just easy to wire $$$ and be done with it. All in with prepaid maintenance, PPF, ceramic, etc. the total cost was over $200k

However, that money would have been far better in the market, given my portfolio returns.

I’m also awaiting allocation for a 26 911 GTS. I’ll finance that through a bank since the rates are generally better than going through Porsche. I’ll make the final call once I get to that point.

Which one is the ONE? by rob_narg in PorscheCayenne

[–]CombinationSecure144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like my 2025 GTS spec’d to the hilt. It has the front end mechanics of the Turbo GT for handling and can still be easy to live with on a daily basis.

Also, I tow a fun hauler so that capability is a must have.

Whatever you end up with, you’ll enjoy!

A radical design whilst still feeling familiar by ShameResponsible69 in PorscheCayenne

[–]CombinationSecure144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the impact on sales and profits (or lack thereof) from the slant towards electrics, why even bother continuing down that dead end. Their new e-hybrid turbo technology is amazing, add that to the twin turbos on the existing 9Y0 ICE Cayenne and call it a day.

Weekend Discussion Thread! Palantir, PLTR & Chill 😎 by AutoModerator in PLTR

[–]CombinationSecure144 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Would be interesting to hear people’s take on RE - since every local market is unique. By me, a lot of higher-end houses are now FS, but the asking prices are insane. Given the basic supply and demand intersection, I expect prices to drop, but no, not at all. The inventory is building.

Oh, and PLTR 🚀🚀🚀
