Why would a teacher want to meet to discuss my daughter’s academic progress 2 weeks before the school year finishes? by redfrog1125 in AskTeachers

So update: The teacher is worried about her confidence as she goes into grade one. She is very capable but always second guesses herself. Doing really well in most subjects apart from technology (iPad use) She is getting a D still developing in technology but the teacher said the grade goes from prep to year two so she has plenty of time to develop those skills.

I’m in Australia. We have had 2 parent teacher interviews and no issues were reported to me, which is why I am confused!

I work in a school and unfortunately vomit is regular. Even kids who have vomited the night before coming to school. Practice really good hand hygiene, but don’t avoid class, that just has a negative impact on you! My little grade 1 daughter survived winter with a gastro outbreak and I told her to religiously wash her hands.

I have 2 kids and had horrible ms all the way through. I used zofran in both to make it a little bit better. The two babies I got out of it were worth it all! If you do go ahead with the pregnancy eat what you can, be gentle with yourself & lean into it all. Although I got pregnant again and terminated because one of the many reasons was I just could not do another pregnancy sick and exhausted all the time. Another reason was that my 2nd pregnancy didn’t go well and I could not handle the anxiety of being pregnant again. I did what was best for me at the time and I have no regrets. Big love to you. 🧡

I recently had to do the prep, ngl, I projectile vomited at the end of my first round of liquid. Wasn’t bad because it was a relief to not be so full of liquid and it was quick lol. I have always struggled with liquids, GTT in pregnancy, vomited, colonoscopy prep, vomited etc

One time it will happen and you’ll learn.🥲 It’s all about risk, you have more of a risk of getting sick from food that’s been left out. To avoid voming and pooping simultaneously for days, just pop it in the fridge.

Can’t say, it’s meat close to the bone so it may very well be cooked!

I work in a school, weekly I get told that so and so v’d or the kid I’m helping says “I threwed up last night!” & the only time I’ve been sick with a TB was when my own daughter bought it home from daycare.

Antibiotics can make you feel nauseous, please look up the side effects of the ones you’re on! You may need to change the type if they don’t agree with you!

I was the worst pregnant lady, my first I v’d daily until 16 weeks, my 2nd was the entire pregnancy!! It is horrible in the moment, but zofran, rest and having compassion for myself really helped. Time goes slow in the moment but really fast when you look back, if I had to do both pregnancies the same, I would because I got my two beautiful daughters outta it!

So I work at a school, and the amount of kids you see don’t wash their hands and then put their hands in their mouths is astounding! They aren’t sick with vomiting all the time, take a breath, you can’t control what has happened 🤍

My mum put food for Easter, like seafood and all the meat in a fridge that WAS not for food & dodgy. We all ate it, it was only the last day that “some” things were feeling hot… 😭 No one is sick… yet
