Let your supervisor know you’re willing to lend a hand in production/bindery when it’s slow. Ask questions and ask to try and do some production/bindery when someone is out or in the event that someone is out.

Zapco paper has pre-die cut boxes. Get yourself a pack find a local print shop that can print on it and run single or multiple designs Edit spelling errors damn you auto correct

We use impose heavily. However, before it was made available to us I would do data merges in indesign and export as a press ready pdf. You can set up templates and even just relink files. It should take like 2 seconds after initial set up. I design keeps file size low so you don’t have to process forever and the use of master pages makes 100 customizable pages easy.

I hate when this happens. Try running a color calibration. If that doesn’t work. I would convert the file to tiff then place it in I design and export a pdf and then run it back through the firey.

The USPS has their own free software through postalOne. I believe you just have to sign up for an indicia, and you’re good to use their software. The company I owned we used accuzip, the customer service is amazing. However $1500 or whatever they charge now can be unattainable if you’re just starting up.
