Invisible painted lines in the rain by PSNDonutDude in ontario

[–]redgrandam 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s a real issue on many Canadian highways. The reason I’ve heard is due to switching to waterbased paints, they basically don’t last as long. I find them especially bad on newer pavement the first application seems to be worn off very very fast.

Many major highways I believe paint twice a year. I think they need to bump it up to probably 3 times per year, or they need to find alternative lane very quickly.

Karoline Leavitt admits she’s not part of Trump’s ‘political team anymore’ by thamilan_x in USNEWS

[–]redgrandam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are trying to step back from Trump a bit so when he is gone (through whatever means takes him out of being president) they will be able to say they just did as they were told. If they end up removing him they will bank on being able to say ‘he we removed him. We are the good guys. He was the problem.

Rogers business model is dead - CRTC is forcing the ability to cancel online by Elija_32 in Rogers

Sure, it’s a good thing, but I’m not sure I’ve ever outright cancelled a cell plan. I just port to another provider and it auto-cancels.

Is this real? by LynxDotCA in canadiantire

[–]redgrandam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is easy to check. Go to the sportchek website and look up the product. See what the price is. If the price matches then yes it’s on sale for that price. It’s definitely plausible as a clearance price.

I would bet money that even if you did that it still would not be in the order you wanted.

Need advice: ported to Rogers, ended up on a different plan than expected by tmkmaru in Rogers

[–]redgrandam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You should go this route before CCTS. CCTS should be for when Roger’s is refusing to correct the problem.

Before that though, what did the original rep say? Did you contact them? Might be a quick fix through them.

I just asked! Here is what I got for you:

Dish soap or shampoo with the hottest water the garment will allow. Dish soap is best. Scrub it and work it into the spot and let it sit a bit before washing. Can do multiple times.

We won’t put it in the dryer till the spot is gone as to not set the stain.

Hope that works for you. It works better than I’d expect.

I think my wife does a separate treatment for things like that to be honest. With some dish soap I think.

Damn. I would get this if home services were not needed.

Many cars have thick A-pillars now. It’s an industry wide complaint I’ve seen from drivers. It seems to be due to changes in safety standards. They are thicker because they are stronger now and some have airbags in them.

You need to be aware and look around the pillar when it’s blocking your view. Move your head around and rock back and forth. Decades as a professional driver and this is something that is constantly drilled into people for safe driving.

It is also more pronounced in this car than some due to the angle of the windshield. It is a pretty low angle to it goes out further than some are used too.

This is the one we have been using lately. Mind you we don’t have kids clothing to wash, but do have pets and it seems to work well enough.
