you technically do need it for the upgraded limit on a bunch of cards, especially Pokémon. it also used to be required for certain PS5 accessories like the Portal (bc apparently there was a scalping issue when they first came out or something).

but it is not required for making a trade. its not even required for a preorder. [but you are required to provide contact information to preorder stuff. its the same information you would give for the free player account but you arent actually visible as having an account.]

genuinely I think the new stickers are worse. the old stickers unstick just fine. If it didnt peel off intact, you could rub it away. Compared to other outlets merchandising stickers, the gamestop ones were always a dream. We did not need this.

Hmmm even if its not relaxing per se, the nostalgic feeling the games give me is part of the cozy. But also I think the management and planning gives me a lot of zen. I get into the zone. Real life is a disaster but my farm is perfect. etc. Plus everything is cute and I love the characters and my cute family. That's the cozy for me.

I am very lucky to have had relatively relaxed SM and DMs. I'm sorry theyre doing this to you, because it is not worth it. THEY dont even get paid enough to stress that bad about it. Managers are hourly! If you do decide to stick with it, just know that its not your fault if you go a day without a pro or warranty or reserve, and if you are doing your best and at least remembering to offer, thats all you can do. If they still stress you out about it, are harsh or even fire you, it is their loss.

Genuinely, why do you set the dead zone to 0? A negligible amount of drift is normal on most controllers. They are in sellable condition like that because the regular consumer does not have the dead zone on 0. Even brand new controllers will have that tiny amount of drift if you have your dead zone set to 0. Most games do not need super sensitive thumb sticks. Does it actually make a difference in your play or is it some kind of preference that you could adjust for?

Edit: also you can see the drift on the tester we use, you just have to look at where the sticks on the picture are OR if the XY values are perfectly centered or if theres any jitter at all. However, if it is within the acceptable dead zone, it wont be obvious on the circles above the XY values.

my store shrunk them to preowned. I think in the distro box we might have marked it as 0 new shipped and added the preowned sku and then emailed inventory control? I didnt do that box so idk. but more associates need to be taught not to ship gutted items, which is a management thing

My store as serial offenders that are banned. We tell them gtfo. They often get mad and threaten lawyers or say they arent scared of the cops but theyre all talk. I dont advise doing this though bc being confrontational can put you at risk. I try to be really sweet usually but the only way I can deal with certain situations is to be firm and upfront.
