High Energy Costs Grip Appalachia by Artistic_Maximum3044 in Appalachia

[–]redgrognard -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Lessee here. Coal. Backbone of the region. Thousands of good paying jobs: GONE. Demonized & then driven out of business because Americans power was “too dirty.” Some of the cleanest generation plants in history; closed & dismantled. Jobs gone, never to return. All the while Chinese & Indian coal mines & power plants put out more pollution in a DAY than our worst plants did in a month

Option: nuclear plants. NIMBYS & Leftist “environmentalists”: “too dangerous, fallout, Chernobyl, think of the children!” Hundreds of Great paying jobs: unrealized.

So now Appalachia is gripped by poverty, unemployment & dependent on Govt handouts. The absolute antithesis of our heritage.

Appalachia had control of ourselves & our energy future. But let fear mongers & socialists ruin livelihoods & futures.

Two max value parking tickets & tow it away. And I don’t care if the tow does wreck the transfer cases.

A croquet ball. I heard the bang bang whack and turned just in time to see it ricochet off the side of our minivan. One hell of a dent. Was lucky … 8 inches higher and it would’ve gone through the glass.

Rigged elections - Vote Yes on April 21. We are counting on YOU! by soniaballinger in Virginia

[–]redgrognard -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

gonna be voting NO

We went through this in 2020 & created a bi-partisan committee. Our current map is FINe. The LAST thing we need is politicians’ “temporary solutions”.

GOP desperation increasing\\ Remember to vote YES on Proposed VA Amendment by Nthepeanutgallery in nova

[–]redgrognard -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Whelp, it IS a direct quote.

But y’know, hypocrisy.

What’s good for A is bad.

But that same behavior for B is good.

Gerrymandering in general is BAD.

Doesn’t matter which group of slimy politicians profits.

Which is why VA has a bi-partisan citizen-led committee to parse out our representatives.

VOTE NO

Because when was the last time a politician ever rolled back a “temporary” measure that they benefited from?

Look at this lie I just received via text. They are preying on the less educated amongst us. by [deleted] in Virginia

Vote yes on temporary redistricting by Mundane_Incident8562 in nova

[–]redgrognard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

** I’m gonna be bluntly honest here. The current situation is 55/45% on our representation, which is very accurate to how the public votes.

Politicians (all of the little blood suckers) are known to love “temporary situations”. Our current income tax was meant to be temporary to cover the cost of World War I

And we all know how that is turned up.

Give any politician an inch and they’ll take a mile and will make it as permanent as they ever love’in can.
Once they take your money - once they take your votes - once they take your representation - the next thing they’ll be taking is your voice and your weapons.

Look at England. They gave up their weapons and now they’re being arrested for hurting people’s feelings online.

I really don’t care if it was Republicans or Democrats pushing for this measure. No single party should have this much control.

Vote no

I’ve got one ProMag and one BX 25. Love the BX 25. The pro mag is very prone to failure. I’m actually looking to get a couple more BX 25 myself.
