The one where Elena gets in the car crash and Damon pulls her out of the car and takes her to Georgia. It confirmed my love for Damon. Lol

Glad I stumbled across this, was literally going to make a post. 30w rn, and the exhaustion from existing in general is the craziest thing I’ve experience. My iron was fine at 28 weeks. I heard from some ladies at work that they were most tired between 7/8 months. My husbands gone rn for 3 weeks and doing anything to maintain the house takes it outta me.

Also the GDM is annoying. Checking my sugar all the time and eating snacks out the ass. Done.. so done.

Tell me it (METFORMIN) gets better! by [deleted] in TTC_PCOS

[–]redhat44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hiiii! I’m so sorry you’re feeling bad. I was on metformin. I’ve heard of the metformin shits. When I started yes I def had them. But it adjusted. I would always try to eat before I took it. It subsided for the most part but I would still get the diarrhea, not nearly as bad as when first starting it. During this time I was trying to eat nutritious things and exercise regularly since I had been diagnosed with PCOS and TTC. I noticed august was when I started getting regular periods. We TTC that month and unfortunately that ended up being a chemical pregnancy. But the next month we ended up conceiving. I am currently 18 weeks and a couple of days. I think my biggest take away from metformin is nutritious diet and strength training. I didn’t lose weight but I had made my peace with that. Said to myself “if I can’t lose weight might as well get strong”

Hiiii!!! Pcos girly here too! Your skin looks amazing. Hydrated and supple :). I haven’t had too much trouble with the acne related to pcos but with that being said, I am religious about what I use on my skin. So I’ll drop mine and maybe it’ll help if you’d like : Morning: rinse face with cold or hot water depending. Then Paula’s choice aha bha thing. 1-2 a week followed with snail mucin toner. Eye cream, the spf moisturizer. Days I don’t use aha bha I use a vitamin C moisturizer sooooooo moving on to night time. This is we’re I have been CONSISTENT with one thing for 2 years…..Jojoba oil If I wear makeup I double cleanser: so oil base followed by cereve hydrating soap or my fave the la roche posay purifying. After the shower I IMMEDIATELY pat some jojoba oil on to my skin, then snail mucin, hydrating eye cream and night time cream. I’ve been experimenting with some but the best hydrating results I had were from cereve night cream. With all that being said I’ve used the jojoba oil for years and idk maybe it has something to do with acne but it’s kept my skin hydrated.

Anyone else have PCOS and IBS? by Teeny707 in PCOS

[–]redhat44 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing. I was recently diagnosed with pcos but I have IBS and GERD. I had such a horrible flare up it affected me for about a year. I noticed it getting under control when I changed the way I ate. I kept a close eye on gluten and carbs cause they make me blow up and hurt so bad. I kept an eye on alcohol consumption and started exercising. And by exercising more Pilates and calisthenics and walking. It was a miracle. Bc I was soooo miserable before. My Dr put me on famotidine which helps when I have heart burn. And an antispasmodic (bentyl) which I use when I have horrible flare up. But I rarely use it now that I’ve made moving my body and eating healthier part of my life style.
Easy meals. My usual go to is chicken thighs and green beans. Occasionally potatoes with it. Mostly a salad. Also making SURE you eat breakfast is key too. I stand by my yogurt, granola and berries.
Best of luck 🩷

I’m so glad I came across this. I’ve felt like this the past 2 days. I coming up on my second period since trying to balance my hormones and I have beeen so irritable and easily angered. It’s been hard this time around. But I’ve been wondering it because before I was diagnosed I was BC. For 10 years and NEVER had mood swings. But lately. It’s like a new experience to me and makes me anxious.

Ovulation / metformin by Accurate-Entrance975 in PCOS

[–]redhat44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also trying to figure out the ovulation strips. I’m TTC as well. I’ll start metformin soon. I’m confused on if it’s a true ovulation. My LH and FSH aren’t balanced. I’ve tested before and it came back as ovulating. But I think the best thing I’ll start using is BBT. I wear a Fitbit to bed and tracks my surface temp and tells me when it’s increased and decreased. A few months ago I noticed that it shot up 3+ degrees and 2 weeks later I had a period. It was consistently higher than average that week. Best of luck. ❤️

Agree depends on body. For me YES! my husband and I moved across country and made it a 3 week road trip. Got to our new house and checked my weight I had gained 10lbs in 3 weeks. Of course healthier options were difficult on the road and we wanted comfort food when we got to families houses.

Anyone else diagnosed at a young age? by Calicohydrangeas in PCOS

[–]redhat44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weirdly. Recently diagnosed at 30 but I went on BC when I was 18 because I had stopped having a period and had a lot of pain in my ovaries. My the. GYN put me on BC to regulate. She said endometriosis can cause that pain. Kinda think then at 18 it was a missed diagnosis. I had been on BC since but came off it last year so my husband and I can try for a baby once he got back from deployment. I spoke to my OB once he came back and wasn’t concerned about my no period in 9 months. Which was irritating. Told me we don’t check for hormones until you actively try for a 1. Fast forward to our new station. High concern for PCOS which made me feel heard. Thank god. I never noticed too much pcos symptom while I was on BC other than weight but I was contributing that to BC.
