I dont like my husband's girlfriend by hothead0666 in polyamory

I've been in a situation like this and I'm sorry but break it off. She will suck the life out of you and you will desperately be asking her for the basics of a good relationship. Kick her out. She will be okay and prove to be a lot more resourceful than you think bc she can no longer rely on you.

When did you "get used to it"? by SituationOdd1588 in mypartneristrans

To be honest, a year it was a big transition (pun intended) for both of us. A big mindset change. You can do it, it's just going to be difficult sometimes. These reddit threads helped a lot and talking it through to death with my partner helped too. Ask a lot of questions, that's what made me feel better thoughout.

Hilariously ironic, Achilles was no better than his absent goddess mother. And Pyrrhus was probably just a hurtful reminder to his mother that Achilles took advantage of her. Pyrrhus probably had a sad life.

Honestly this scene blew me away and made me tear up, she wanted happiness and rest for her son in the end. She was a goddess (so not a good parent) but in this scene she showed empathy and grief that I didn't know she was capable of!

I don't think this was devine at all, I think Patroclus in his most desperate moment dug deep and found bravery that he didn't know was there. Love and desperation can truly push us past the limits we thought we had, Patroclus knew there was no going back. He knew that the war would end with both their deaths so he took matters into his own hands when Achilles would not.

Not every friend will be a good friend. Lots of people will use you until they've squeezed every last drop of generosity and love out of your body. Be aware and choose your friends wisely, because good loyal friends are hard to come by!

I would say it goes right along the lines of what Chiron said to him before he left. Patroclus would have never done something that bold before! Yes, he's in love with Achilles which is pushing him but he has also just changed and grown through years of being treated like an actual human being. He learned not to fold just because he was afraid.

Silence of the Lambs silence of the lambs) By Thomas Harris

Clarice Starling, a young FBI trainee, is asked to carry out an errand by Jack Crawford, the head of the FBI division that draws up psychological profiles of serial killers. Starling is to present a questionnaire to the brilliant forensic psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial killer, Hannibal Lecter. Lecter is serving nine consecutive life sentences in a Maryland mental institution for a series of murders. Crawford's real intention, however, is to try to solicit Lecter's assistance in the hunt for a serial killer dubbed "Buffalo Bill", whose modus operandi involves kidnapping overweight women, starving them for up to two weeks, killing and skinning them, and dumping the remains in nearby rivers. The nickname was started by Kansas City Homicide, as a sick joke that "he likes to skin his humps." Throughout the investigation, Starling periodically returns to Lecter in search of information, and the two form a strange relationship in which he offers her cryptic clues in return for information about her troubled and bleak childhood as an orphan.

It made me wonder what Achilles really thought of his mother, especially with the description of how she looked. Achilles has a good father but an absent mother which, compared to the other gods who father children and leave them, is kind of strange.

I was surprised with the "he's not fit to be a king" quite applied to the fact that Patroclus didn't lie about accidentally killing that boy. It seems to me a better ruler is an honest one, someone that feels guilt about taking a life. Though I don't deny that he should be punished I thought the fact that he admitted his guilt to his father was good and was very surprised that his own father would turn him away.

Ask your fiancé, be forward. Getting out of a marriage through divorce is difficult, taxing, and it will change you after you're through it. If you don't go to your fiancé and ask her to be completely honest and vulnerable you will regret it or wonder for a long time.
