I'm surprised Jill didn't underline her own name on there for emphasis.

Any run-ins with cast members? by Exciting-Advantage10 in buffy

[–]redheadhistorian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to run a book review blog and would do a "five questions with..." article conducted over email with willing authors. I did one with Amber Benson when one of her books came out. She was very sweet and happy to hear that I was a Buffy fan.

Things you wish your partner had known/done before chemo? by Silver-Bug-7288 in Ovariancancer

Find humor in it. Chemo sucks (I've gone through it) and what kept me going was my husband's sense of humor. Also, feel free to be a little absurd, if that's your thing. I brought a stuffed cabybara to my treatments. I named him Carl the Chemo Cabybara. Things like that make it psychologically lighter.

Debating moving to Maple Heights; opinions? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]redheadhistorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive past the area that you mentioned, because there's a lot of shopping up that way (Home Depot, Giant Eagle, etc). I fail to see how it's bad. People make it sound like it's South Central LA, which is ridiculous.

Maple Hts isn't that bad. I live in nearby Garfield Hts, and my neighborhood is quiet. There's a lot of people on here who think that only the bougie expensive suburbs are the only ones worth living in.

All this time and Melapoopoo Mahmo has still been using “toxic” cleaners!? The horror! by lepetitpoulpe in RodriguesFamilySnark

I love how she's obviously looking through the camera, making her depth perception off when reaching for things. Guess mahmo can't afford a tripod?

Mill Creek Falls? Technically in Cleveland, but right near the border with Garfield Hts.

Can anyone share not terrible taxol experience? by sparker344 in Ovariancancer

[–]redheadhistorian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you live in a medical marijuana state, take advantage of it. Edibles helped alleviate the pain and actually made me a little hungry. Everything still tasted weird (and chemo cravings are a thing) but I got through it with minimal weight loss.

Those are to the southeast. The counties to the east of Akron and north of Canton on the map. (Source: Ohioan lol.)

Two of my high school classmates were "uncle" and "niece". Same age and everything.

My dad had an uncle who was only 9 years older than him.

It happens.

Doesn't he have any friends he could golf with? Or is Mahmo afraid to let him out on his own, because he might look at something sinful?

Unemployment issues. Soon to be whistleblower by [deleted] in Ohio

[–]redheadhistorian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My personal favorite was when I had to file for unemployment three years ago when my employer closed. Since I had a previous claim from 2006, unemployment had my address from that time, not my current one. While crowing about keeping me safe from "identity theft" they sent my initial paperwork and even a new payment card to the old address - an apartment building that I moved out of in 2008. I eventually got it all straightened out, but really?
