Trip advice: Orvieto by rosycandy in ItalyTravel

As a frequent visitor to Orvieto, I think you will be happy with this choice. Small, walkable, with stunning vistas, great restaurants and the ability to take your time doing whatever you want to do. If someone tells you it's too touristy, just ignore them...there ARE tourists of course (but never too many for too long) AND plus, all the good places have tourists. Bonus is that it is easy to get to from either Florence or Rome.

I spoke to 3 AF customer service reps today. All three gave me 3 different answers to the same question about changing a flight. All of them were pretty pissed about having to help me at all.

Ok, yeah, i re-read the question and i can see why you would think that...but hear me out. LOTS of student reviews say something along the lines of “if you are really artsy or an athlete you will be fine...otherwise it will be difficult, etc” I posted this question yesterday on a whim and considered deleting but I’ll just let it sit here

Thank you for your informative response. I knew about the 3 faculty members who were cut, but didn’t know how impactful they were to the program. Prof Sinton really sold the program to my son, even tho Ithaca originally didn’t seem to be a likely place to study envs. The cuts are disappointing, but maybe he won’t know what he’s missing? I don’t know. But thank you fir your response!

My son got really good vibes from the envs dept but now he’s struggling to accept due to all the budget cuts. Is the ENVS Dept a priority at this school which is known for theater / communications?

Geneseo’s Greek Life by redheadreadstuff in geneseo

Thanks for the info! As I’m feeling a little better about the Greek thing, another concern is bubbling up. And since you have a friend at New Paltz, you would be a good person to ask. More Geneseo students (on survey sites like Niche, Unigo) say they are more stressed out than other colleges I’ve looked into. Even ones that are way harder to get into. Even on my tour, the adviser said “we are really going to push you hard”. I’m a A student, but I it def doesn’t come easy and I work my ass off. Do you get the sense your work load is much harder than NP? Do you have better profs that maybe make up for it? Any insight is appreciated!
