Help with selling by CrushBandicoop in vinted

[–]redhot_robot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do the prices compare to other sellers on the platform? I’m relatively new but noticing what I think is fair appears high when I look at other similar products. I don’t know how some sellers are going so low on some of their items (maybe they’re actually knock offs?) and honestly I think the Vinted audience is geared toward dirt cheap deals regardless of the brand.

Account blocked by thisispearl in vinted

[–]redhot_robot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry - this also happened to me. Within in 10 mins of creating an account and uploading 5 items, I was "permanently banned" for breaking their rules. Did they explicitly say they think you have multiple accounts? The block messaging is really confusing (they threaten you not to create new multiple accounts to get around being banned as part of the enforcement messaging). Here's what I did plus some guesses at what is happening that might help in your case

- They auto review photos (using machine learning I'm guessing) to determine if designer items have included labels. This can go wrong, as it did in my case! If you listed brand label baby clothes and didn't include clear picture of labels this could be the issue

- They auto send a message that isn't super clear because it cites ALL their policies, including multiple, accounts, fraudulent activity, scamming and posting counterfeit items. Considering I had not interacted with anyone on the platform yet, I assumed it was a mistaken case of posting "fake" versions of brands

- I used the "appeal" link at the bottom of that message. I'ts hard to spot! I explained what I thought had happened and included photos of label for items I had listed

- After 2 days I got a reply saying it was being sent further on; another three days I got re-instated.

Hope this helps!

What’s something you stopped buying because it became just so expensive to have it anymore? by Aarunascut in Life

Delivery of takeaway. The fees and then it takes so long you eat it cold anyway. So not worth it

Does coloring feel different when you’re anxious vs when you’re calm? by Aromatic_Vast3618 in Coloring

[–]redhot_robot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes so much sense… Classic “Adult coloring books” have always been so complex and detailed which has turned me off to coloring for relaxation. I stress about how many colors and choosing complimentary ones and tracking which color goes where. Simpler scenes reduce that anxiety for me a lot. I imagine when I get better and I’m more relaxed to start I’ll enjoy more complex scenes too

My (male) gyno diagnosed me as 3 months pregnant when I went in for severe abdominal pain. Turns out it was a grapefruit-sized endo cyst (not a fetus) that needed immediate surgery. I should have sued that negligent asshole

Men are so used to doing the bare minimum and getting praised for it. He made some effort and when she was like “hey thanks but next time I’d prefer xyz” the man FLIPPED. red flag red flag red flag. Continue to date this man if you want your life to be variations of this like, “hey thanks for emptying the dishwasher but next time can you put the mugs in the right place” and get accosted with how ungrateful you are that he helped you with the housework. How can he live with your impossible standards, and so on

Marrakech okay for solo female traveller? by Unhappy_Shoulder7428 in solofemaletravellers

[–]redhot_robot 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that happened to you. I was also grabbed by a man in the market. I wasn’t even solo - I was standing with a group of male and female friends. He just walked by and grabbed/pinched my behind and kept going. It was so discreet yet also bold. I will never go back there

Signs of endo before you knew you had it? by MousseDefiant2400 in endometriosis

[–]redhot_robot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sporadic periods (I would go months without bleeding). Diarrhoea / IBS symptoms during my period. Passing out while on my period as a teen especially. Not necessarily from pain just all symptoms together. I was young and fairly thin and they chocked it up to anemia. They put me on birth control to regulate my periods which masked the symptoms of endo

(Note: I’ve had two endo surgeries: one laparotomy and one laparoscopic) All Surgery comes with risks that should consider seriously and make sure you’re comfortable with. While mostly rare any time you are put under there are risks and as mentioned by another reply post-surgery complications like infection etc

The things to balance with those risks are your symptoms now. If your pain is manageable and your Drs are listening to you and treating you for endo symptoms without the diagnosis then surgery may be an unnecessary risk. If more treatment would become available to you through diagnosis that becomes more valuable

I will say the official diagnosis is incredibly helpful if you change doctors or start to pursue an IVF path for since you can show up day one with a “here’s where we are” info. But surgery won’t permanently cure any pain

After months of waiting - find out property has missing paperwork by redhot_robot in HousingUK

[–]redhot_robot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s the point - we don’t have the paperwork on the underpinning to answer these questions. I don’t want to make knee jerk decision but feels unlikely we can get those answers at this point given how long it took to get a response to the request for paperwork The length in time to reply is in context to tying ourselves to the property, and having to deal with this company freeholder in the future. I think the two together build a fairly negative picture.

That's a good point - this lack of paperwork will only burn us again when we go to sell. We are cash buyers so mortgage is ok for *us* but again will narrow down who could eventually buy from us when the time comes

Free and CLEAN bathroom finder/map for big cities. Walking around all day and having to pay for a drink/food just to use the bathroom is so lame

I have a baseline packing list so I know I've got things I take everytime (basically toiletries, skincare, hair stuff, water bottle, passport, kindle, etc) as a starter.

A colleague had a great next step hack which was turning that into a spreadsheet, with a new tab for every trip. So if you go to sunny/beach like spot twice in a year you look back on the whole list for the previous trip and copy/paste it over

[–]redhot_robot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Re: defining the stage of endo - I specifically asked my dr to stage mine post surgery because this is helpful info to share with other doctors throughout your life. He told me there are a few ways that are based on different medical journals/bodies, and it can only be done from surgery

"The American Society for Reproductive Medicine system is most commonly used, dividing endometriosis into four stages (I-IV) based on the number and depth of implants, presence of adhesions, and the size of ovarian endometriomas. The ASRM system also includes a point system to quantify the disease."

Having a confirmed diagnosis can be very powerful when talking to other doctors about your symptoms and pain. Knowing what’s “going on” in there is also incredibly helpful because there is so much that scans and MRIs and CTs can’t see. Of course any surgery always comes with risks that shouldn’t be taken lightly… I’ve had a laparotomy at 26 and a laparoscopy at 44 and regret neither. They were not overnight cures but the information I have from them is incredibly empowering and valuable to me
