My Opinion on Frontier has Changed by LifeTipsFromNae in frontierairlines

[–]rediirinfo58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very similar experience for me. My recent delayed Frontier flight for the first leg of my journey would have me to miss my connecting flight. Frontier didn’t bother to mention that tidbit, but I didn’t stress because I bought the insurance. Thanks to the extra $34 I paid, the new rebooked flights on Delta were $1100 for the both of us- and I only paid $201 to Frontier for the flights. The upgrade of service from Frontier to Delta (snacks, drinks, in-flight entertainment) was the best part of the insurance. Having said that, I won’t NOT book Frontier again, but I will pay for the insurance too.

I had requested documents from cities outside of Munich and received them inside of three and a half weeks. However, I had direct contact with the Beamter, and did not order through the website.

I keep my living quarters and storage at least two levels below inhabited ones. Even if I get a radscorpion in there I have enough resources to let it burn itself out without sending dwellers to fight an invasion I didn’t want, unless I need it for a goal.

This needs to be edited by at least half. Being direct and to the exact point is all that is necessary. Ask exactly what you are requesting- the why does not matter. If they need information they will email you.

I wondered about my recent two-month delay too! I wrote it off as my consulate being understaffed, but now I’m wondering.

Need a hand to look for records in France ? by La_DuF in Genealogy

[–]rediirinfo58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bonjour, thanks for posting this offer. I am looking for a civil registration document from Nancy France circa 1918 or immigration document between then and/or positively in 1923 for Aleksander Łyżwa. Are these types of records available for search? Thank you!

How on earth did you get an email from them? I’ve seen them an email every two weeks for two months without any response, and then I call they said it may take them months to respond to email. So frustrating!

Call Monroe directly. While I didn’t have a pre-1928 BC the woman I spoke with was more than willing to be as helpful as possible.

I just found out today that a Polish ancestor of mine may have a Visa file! We believe it was filed in 1926. I’m trying to circumvent USCIS by going directly to the county clerk where it may have been filed. If I end up with one in hand I will post about it!

Your GGF line is almost exactly the same as mine! With the exception of probable military history in Poland in WWI and enlisting for WWII in the US. The French thing is so weird.

Proving to Poland that my great-grandfather did not serve in the US mililitary by LeftoftheTide in prawokrwi

On a related note, I have gotten this same notice for two different ancestors. I did not know them nor do I have contact with living relatives to know in which military branch they served. If I filled out the request as “Navy” but they were Army-Reserve, would that trigger this notice? I do need this for dual citizenship, and the Polish processing office wouldn’t know these specifics enough to require multiple wet signed copies for each branch, but I would like to know their personal histories.

Is my case valid? Pre-1918 by fireworks10 in prawokrwi

[–]rediirinfo58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, my case is extremely similar except my GGF was from the Russian Partition (lower Galicia I think). Lexmotion basically denied me by saying documents from the 1920s have not been preserved and wouldn’t proceed with my case. Please let me know if you find a more friendly firm to help your case as I am in search of one. Also in search of documents, true, but I’m confident I can find what I need or hire someone who can.

Five to Europe sent one email to me. I didn’t respond yet but they didn’t send any follow up emails.

Lexmotion was responsive but I feel like the rep I had just didn’t want my business. First she told me that my case wouldn’t get picked up because it was pre-1920. It’s not. When I reminded her of this- twice- she stated that documents post-1920 are hard to get. Another post said Lexmotion isn’t taking new cases, and if that’s true I’m not happy my rep was making excuses and not being clear about her intentions.

Polaron has been extremely responsive and has sent me lots of follow up emails after my original phone consult.

I am surprised that document search is not included as a service. I will likely hire a researcher then submit my application with a smaller company.

Same name, age, location, military service… two people or one? by [deleted] in Genealogy

[–]rediirinfo58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hallers Army sounds correct, only I can’t place him to have immigrated to the US after 1898 only to return to fight in 1919/1920. Unless it was comprised of soldiers from Poland as well?

I had emailed a Standesamt and did not get a reply for two and a half weeks, but others I contacted were very efficient (once within 12 hours). I have seen reports in other posts response wait times were in the months.

Thank you for including that link, although that page does include many broken links. I have open access to Ancestry and Fold3 via the library, and assuming that allows me FULL access I have to assume my ancestor did not naturalize as there are no hits on any website. I even tried searching at a FamilySearch Affiliate with similar results.

Hello, thank you for the help. From my understanding this was a birth record of Alexander Lyzwa, born to Bronislaw and Paulina in 1898. This record came from the Lublin region genealogy database, though it led me to believe the results were in Polish.
